And "Stay Positive" ranks criminally low, coming in at #29 (just ahead of the first Los Campesinos! LP, which is also ranked too low, IMO).
And to add insult to injury, they get the title of "Two Crosses" wrong. Sheesh.

Then again, you got the title of Both Crosses wrong as well!

Ha! That's awesome. And I've even had plenty of caffeine this morning. My lame-ass excuse will be that the "dos" of "dos cruces" infected my memory of the song title.

Pitchforks year end list is always kind of ridiculous to me. I rarely read reviews on that site at all, i only really go there for news and videos and stuff. They have a very NME-esque habit of over hyping a lot of fairly mediocre stuff. With that said they do give a lot of love to the Hold Steady so i cant hate on them too much.

Sheesh. hey, they said it was one of the best 30 albums of the year. do you know how many albums came out this year? me neither, but it was a shitload, dude. a shitload.

I think Stay Positive was the only one of my albums of the year on the majority of these lists.

Give Pitchfork credit for having them on the list at all. Despite a large amount of their readers having issues with The Hold Steady they've yet to leave any LP by THS off it's respective year end list.
