Hey guys and gals,
I'm feeling festive and loving christmas music right now. A few of my most listened ones right now are:
The Kinks - Father Christmas The Ramones - Merry Christmas (I dont want to fight tonight) The Flaming Lips - Christmas at the Zoo The Pogues - Fairytale of New York Atom & His Package - What We Do On Christmas.
What do you listen to when you're feeling christmas-ey?

My top 3: 1. Pogues & Kirsty MacColl - Fairytale of New York 2. Pretenders - 2000 Miles 3. John & Yoko - Happy Xmas (War is Over) And erm...have to mention a very guilty pleasure of mine... East 17 - Stay Another Day Plus of course, everything Mercury Rev have ever done, as pretty much all of their songs sound like Christmas songs ;D

Funeral by the Arcade Fire reminds me of Christmas too. We had that on when doing the tree on Sunday.

Neko Case's cover of "Christmas card from a hooker in Minneapolis" "Fairytale of New York" "Christmas (Baby please come home)" Dariene Love Jill Sobule's cover of Robert Earl Keane's "Merry Christmas from the family" and right now I'm really loving Low's "Just like Christmas" and I usually don't like Low.

Craig Finn: It's a tie between "Fairytale of New York" by the Pogues and "Christmas Must be Tonight" by the Band. I think "Fairytale..." is incredibly romantic, the idea of Christmas as immigrants to America From this week's NME
Me: Pogues - Fairytale of New York Bruce Springsteen - Santa Claus is Coming to Town Killers - Please don't shoot me Santa (Just because it's a bit of a laugh)

I second the Neko Case and the Low songs, but being from Cincinnati I have to add the following...
Over the Rhine - Darlin' Christmas is Coming
and just because they rock
Okkervil River - Listening to Otis Redding at Home During Christmas

The Wombats are the musical equivalent of diarrhea, and now they have released a Christmas song. It is atrocious.
