How are you going to prevent feeling miserable after 4-5 weeks at home? OK college kids, who's with me.
Here are some of my goals: Wrap all Christmas presents Finish the mix trade Figure out how to burn four seasons of Doctor Who onto DVDs Arrange a song for clarinet choir Finish watching Six Feet Under and read as much as possible.
I already met one goal...I changed my ukulele strings all by myself!

I definitely second the first two on your list. I also need to thoroughly clean my apartment - I've been putting it off all semester. Other than that, play lots of piano, read, and relax for once.

Haha. I am LOOKING FORWARD to going to my parents' house! I will be there for 2 weeks. Of course, I'm sure this is too long and by the end of week 1 I'll be wanting to come back. But I figure that a change of location will be good for me, because I really need a proper break from work, and if I'm at home it's hard to get away from it (since I work from home). Also - and this is my super-broke self talking - it'll be nice to be fed by someone else for a change! I mean, I'm sure I'll cook a fair bit - my parents aren't the kind of parents who wait on their adult children (always find that a bit weird...), but the fridge will be full! My aims: - eat lots - yet simultaneously aim to avoid putting on 5lbs as seems to happen at Christmas - clearly invent some kind of miracle calorie burner to do this - or accept the inevitable, wear some loose wrap dresses and buy lots of fruit and veg in January - decorate the tree - this means my parents' tree won't be up until the 22nd, but I HAVE to do it, because it is awesome - enjoy my parents' cable tv (I just have regular) - read some trashy books (let's hope Breaking Dawn is under the tree!) - enjoy using a proper shower (my shower is awful and either scalds or freezes me) - catch up with the fam! Especially my bro, who is a dude and I love him mightily. Plus he is the only person in the world who 100% understands exactly what makes my parents weird and frustrating, so that helps - we may need to hide out in his attic bedroom from time to time.

Only one: try not to lose my mind as a result of having off of work from December 23 to January 5. Stephanie + not working = DO NOT WANT. I don't even really like weekends. Translation: someone please find me a cheap plane ticket out of MKE. To anywhere more than 200 miles from here. Seriously, anywhere. I'm not picky about my destination.
