I'm off to see Ben Kweller tonight at the Glee Club in Birmingham it isn't sold out yet and tix are £10 so if anyone is around and fancies a hell of a good night out I'd highly recommend this.
He always seems to land in Brum when I've had a shitty week and man he's done it again so really looking forward to a night of bittersweet pop/rock/country melodies!
Tour dates: Dec 8 Birmingham Dec 9 LondonSOLD OUT Dec 11 Amsterdam Dec 12 Munich Dec 13 Hamburg Dec 14 Berlin Dec 15 Koln

saw him at the ruby lounge in manchester.
well, I say saw. I mean I sat in a corner and listened. The sight lines at the venue are absolutely dreadful.
couldn't help but feel a bit underwhelmed by it all, i'm a passing fan, I don't own any of his albums but everybody else in my band knows every word to every song or so it seems... I really liked him but thought he'd have been much better with a band!

The show was great, really relaxed, good vibe going. I didn't know until yesterday it wasn't a full band show but his songwriting is so fantastic it works anyway. The last time I saw him it was with full backing and it was one of my favourite shows ever!
I managed to get a CD signed and quick chat afterwards and he said he'd be coming back in May so hopefully then he'll be back with a full band

I saw him in Philly back in October. The new songs are really good. The new "Twangy" take on the old songs sounded really good, too.
