Wonder what that means for the shows right after Easter?

Tad had to give it up for health reasons. He had pancreatitis which can be very serious. It's the cause of death listed on my mothers death certificate.

I liked that little interview. As a Catholic myself, it's always nice to know that Craig is engaging with the faith, not just reacting against it (as quite often music & literature that utilises Catholicism seems to be).

Thanks for posting that article...I followed a similar trajectory (to what Craig did) through my first 30 years of Catholicism, still trying to figure out where I stand. His discussion of faith and religion is one of the things that intrigues me most about his songwriting. Thanks agin for posting the link!

At the risk of sounding like a homer, here's a link to the interview with Craig during the Festival of Faith and Music. It's been posted under another topic heading, but I thought maybe the people on this thread would wanna see it. It's a good hourlong listen, and touches on everything from Christian themes in The Hold Steady's lyrics (duh) to a discussion of the dynamics of community in rock 'n' roll to those all ages hardcore matinee shows. Enjoy! www.calvin.edu/admin/sao/festival/2009/audio/podcast/craig-finn.m4a
