Aint it kind of funny all these new members searching for tickets? What about Craigs List? dunno, this seems like a perfectly reasonable place to come looking. collectively, i would say we are much less creepy than craigslist.

it's not a car. it's a ticket. sometimes i have extra. more like "hi i'm your new neighbor. could i borrow a cup of flour?" sounds reasonable.

Let's be honest- it's more like, "Hi, could I borrow a T-bone steak?"

Maybe since it's my first tour while on the boards, but it kind of surprised me how many "hardcore"/"huge" fans managed to miss out on tickets. It could be just me, but I try to keep up with the acts that I don't want to miss live and the bands that are coming to my area so I don't have to scrounge for tickets at the last minute.
Mmmm...t-bone steak...

ha. true. but doesn't it just seem neighborly to have the new guy over for dinner anyway?

life does not always allow optimal planning ahead. it's not like the newbies are being rude by asking.

I didnt know it was supposed to be a private club. I've been recklessly showing people the secret handshake.

Bible- with all due respect, threads like this have an epic propensity to go up in flames and become a blazing battle from the slightest breeze.
It's like a dry pile of leaves with a 72 pickup truck parked on it. It's a smoker in a house with the gas on and the oven door open. It's a lit match thrown into a pile of greasy rags.
Know what I'm sayin?
Correct me if I'm wrong- but there was a time that we all posted our first post. Some more shy than others for their own reasons.
Shit, I feel like I came in late having only heard of THS after the release of BAGIA.
Looking for tix? That's cool. Posting a link to a blog? Right on. Found a review? Sweet. Check out this video? Definitely.

I didnt know it was supposed to be a private club. I've been recklessly showing people the secret handshake. just don't give out the five point palm exploding arms and hearts technique that shit is dangerous but tickets seem like a good thing to give out, especially to the unconverted. this thing is unstoppable.

i like when new people ask for tickets. then they get to the show, and i meet them, and then we're friends! it's great! i can't count the amount of people who are now my Real Deal friends because they started posting timidly on this board, and yes, re: tickets sometimes. i think it rules. now, scalping tickets on this board - that's a horse of a different color.

I didnt know it was supposed to be a private club. I've been recklessly showing people the secret handshake. You mean the two-handed handshake, right?

Shit, I only ever broke down and registered for the boards in the first place because I wanted one of Seann's shirts. Which has changed my life.
Speaking from experience, a lot of times folks will read and not feel comfortable posting (or just not compelled to leap into the ongoing conversation of what seems like a bunch of folks who know each other) until something draws them out, creates a need to speak. Maybe that's a Unified shirt, maybe it's a rideshare, maybe it's a topic close to their hearts, maybe it's a ticket search.
So yeah. Welcome, ticket-seekers.
