I always enjoy these threads, and I don't recall that we've done one on the new board. Show me what you got; no skipping. First 10 tracks when you shuffle them. Feel free to explain or justify if you want/can.
Out of 5769 songs on ipod (affectionately known as my little hoodrat friend):
1. Rudie Can't Fail - The Clash (!!!) 2. Me and Mia - Ted Leo & the Pharmacists (!!!!) 3. Citizens Drive - Mischief Brew (!!) 4. I Wish I Could Go Back to College - from Avenue Q (this is not true, btw) 5. Jigsaw Falling Into Place - Radiohead (*yawn*) 6. Nobody's Problems - Angela Lansbury (uh . . . so . . . bedknobs and broomsticks is awesome, sorry.) 7. Academy Award - The Dismemberment Plan (*whew*) 8. Augustus and the Soup - The Tiger Lilies (from Shockheaded Peter or Struwwelpeter, which everyone in the world should have seen but no one did. It was musical based on a popular 19th century German children's book of stories about disobedient children dying as a result of their misbehavior. also there is an accordion.) 9. Lost Weekend - Beat Farmers (nice) 10. Portions for Foxes - Rilo Kiley (kind of meh, but i like this song)

Dude, that's looks pretentious. I just really am all over the place - people who've held my ipod can testify. I'm just grateful my kid's newly added Hannah Montana tracks didn't dominate.

1. Alien Ant Farm - "Drifting Apart" - I don't care what anyone says, I'm a fan. TruANT and 3rd Draft are fantastic albums. 2. Minutemen - "The Politics of Time" - I can only take so much Minutemen at a time to be honest. 3. Fatboy Slim - "Build It Up - Tear It Down" - "You've Come A Long Way baby" is a great electro CD. Great for parties. I bought it at a Salvation Army for $1 this past summer. 4. The Aquabats - "Sequence Erase" - This is from "Vs. The Floating Eye of Death", I.e. when they started sounding like Devo. It's just real fun stuff. 5. Ted Leo + The Pharmacists - "Some Beginners Mind" - Ted never gets old. End of story. 6. The Beatles - "Medley - A)Kansas City B) Hey Hey Hey" - I just got into the beatles early stuff this past year, and it's hard to explain how much I love it now. I used to diss it as just throw away pop, but no more. 7. Blink 182 - "Go" - Their Self-Titled (untitled?) album is one of the best albums of the last decade. There's not a loser on the album. And this being one of the few Hoppus fronted songs on the album makes it that much better. 8. The Flaming Lips - "The Sound of Failure" - One of my least favorite songs from what's looking to be my least favorite FLips album. 9. R.E.M. - "The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonight" - Late era REM. Eh. Old Era REM = AMAZING. 10. The Replacements - "Unsatisfied" - My second favorite 'Mats song (just behind Answering Machine). I like the replacements but don't love them, and I really don't understand the hype they're starting to get, nearly 20 years after they broke up.

6 :: mighty lemon drops - "fall down like the rain" i didn't think anyone else on earth had ever heard of this band. i bought "ricochet" on cassette from a record store clearance rack when i was 15 because it was $1, and fell in love with it. nobody else i talk to seems to know who they are, and if i play it for anyone, they hardly seem impressed. glad to know there's someone else out there who knows TMLD. paul marsh is one hell of a songwriter.
