So I was totally napping just now, and I dreamed I got to go to a free Tom Petty concert, and the second song in the set was a cover of "Chicago Seemed Tired Last Night." It was great.

I had a dream that I was 300 pounds. Though I was very heavy, I floated 'til I couldn't see the ground.

i only remember my nightmares, which tend to be stress dreams about federal judges yelling at me because i both failed the portion of the bar exam about waterfowl and totally forgot about the scheduled hearing on advanced calculus, causing my older sister to die an untimely death and totally embarrassing me in front of everyone i admire and respect. or some such thing.

I didn't dream between the ages of 15 and 21. In the last year and a half I've been dreaming rather regularly and it freaks me out. Dreams are supposed to mean you're getting good sleep, but I feel like the quality (and quantity) of sleep I get now is far less excellent than it used to be. I don't know if it has to do with the allergy or asthma meds I started taking around then, or the mattress I have. It's so bizarre. I miss my dreamless nights.

I never used to remember my dreams either, until recently. I think it is symptomatic of a troubled mind. I never realy have sweet ass dreams. Mine generally point towards something I am stuggling with. I wonder what happened to the sweet flying dreams I had as a kid and the half awake half asleep dreams I used to have on Saturday mornings when I got to lie in. Pff! growing up aint all that.
As far as I understand eveyone dreams every night, its just a case of weather or not you remember it.
Does anybody still have cool dreams?

Thank jeebus, I thought I was the only one who experienced those. Seriously, I still have nightmares about the bar exam years later.

I often have very vivid dreams. The most vivid usually involved me being chased by a monster, vampire, ax murderer or the like (I generally get away or realize it's a dream so I stop being scared, btw), or they involve something that I can almost do but can't quite manage. Like a table of food where I fill my plate but don't ever get to eat, or a guy I'm forever about to kiss or something like that. Fucked up, huh? But I'm ok with it, even if I'm scared because they are so crazy alive.
I also sometimes dream that I find new, hitherto unknown, rooms in my house. That's always really cool.

Seriously, I still have nightmares about the bar exam years later. ha. yeah. the bar exam still pops up in the nightmares from time to time. when i was in law school, and having lots of stress dreams coming up to a particularly bad exam season, i described the stress dreams to my dad. actually specifically there was one involving a test about waterfowl. pop told me he had a similar dream about a med school exam a few days before - actually also involving ducks. he was about 60 at the time. which finally convinced me . . . the damned things are never going to go away. this compulsion is genetically hard-wired.

From the Dream Dictionary:
Dreams of losing teeth are often dreams of embarrassment or potentially embarrassing situations. The parallel waking experience could be summed up in the phrase "losing face" publicly. Other possible teeth-loss dreams may come from physical sensations such as grinding your teeth or having particularly sensitive teeth.

Lately, alot of my dreams take place in high school, and there's always an element of lucidity to them. Like, I always realize that I've already graduated high school, and therefore, I'm aware that I'm dreaming. This usually results in me doing things to impress my classmates, whether it's telling a teacher to go fuck themselves, jumping out a third story glass window, or flying over the football team as their practicing and flipping them the bird. I think it's pretty obvious what all this represents. Even though I graduated, I haven't necessarily left high school, psychologically. The image of soaring over my high school means I need to rise above it, and start becoming an adult.

Occassionaly. Apparently it symptomatic of money worries. I thought it meant sexual frustration. i have these. i always read that they had to do with any kind of physical insecurity. i usually have ones where i feel like i cant close my mouth right and my teeth are stuck on each other. its very uncomfortable and unpleasant.

I had one last night where i befriended a dinner lady at my college at a busstop. then, for some reason we needed a mobile phone, but when we asked people they thought we were trying to mug them. they were going to beat us up, but the dinnerlady managed to direct their anger at a bunch of men wearing green hawaiian shirts, who they kicked the bejesus out of. I then had to rescue my best friend from falling off a cliff, and he was quite angry about it. Anyone know a good therapist?

Just before waking up this morning, I dreamt that CF was telling me something very important, but he was wearing white cotton trousers, a pink tank top and a pale yellow jacket, so I had trouble taking him seriously.
