Anyone pre-gaming tonight? In London we had a very succesful meet up at a nearby bar. Would love to do something similar today as it does not look like a day for sightseeing

There’s plenty of options: Pet Shop JC is a great rock bar a few blocks away. Closer to the venue is FM. Bin 13 is in the basement of the venue, but is a little pricier.

Gun be grabbing dinner at Porta, pizza is dank there. If anyone is looking for good food, this is a great place. If you end up there, say hello for sure...you can spot me rocking a unified scene t-shirt

Anyone have any info on the easiest/cheapest way to get there from Manhattan? It looks like PATH is pretty inexpensive, just wondering if it'll be safe to walk back to the station after the show. I'm from out of town, so if anyone has info, I'd really appreciate it!

The Wurst Bar is between path and venue.
Quite a few people using path, so safety in numbers.

Too late, but the only danger you will face in that part of JC is getting hit by a runaway way-overpriced baby stroller.

Fantastic show.
They always amaze me how strong they come out of the gate after some time off.
Might be the only one I get to this summer. Best friends, setlist full of deep cuts, and a whole record that means the world to me.
Thank you. Lots of FOMO in my future.

Best HS show I've seen I think (out of 9). Only one to compete is the 2008 Paradise show in Boston. 'Stay Positive' is my favorite album - so amazing to get the full album and then the b-sides too! Band seemed super tight, Tad in particular seemed to be having a blast.

Name any other band that would play the b sides just after crushing the entire album.
May not survive this 4 day run.

I'm not that big of a Stay Positive fan, but man, I would have love to hear a few of those deep cuts live.

They did indeed do "Hot Fries" at that one! 10 of the 11 Stay Positive songs too (only missing "Both Crosses"). I didn't remember it being free, but it might well have been. Hell of a setlist, I wish there was a boot of it. www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-hold-steady/2008/paradise-rock-club-boston-ma-7bd4c250.html
