A DJ friend of mine sent me this link yesterday. It is from the radio station WOXY (97X) in Cincinnati which is where I discovered Lifter Puller and in turn, THS. The session is from 2005 about a month after the "Separation Sunday" release date. In listening to it again, the thing that struck me was the enthusiasm in the interview. As my memory serves me, Tad did not even travel with an acoustic guitar in those days so they bought a $99 one in a cardboard box at Walmart or something to get through the session. Carried it around for the rest of the tour, got home to Brooklyn and the thing slipped out of the van, hit the pavement and busted. Link :: woxy.com/music/loungeacts/theholdsteady

Sweet stuff man! As a Cinci native it's neat hearing them talk about the place. I went to Shake-It records the other day and the owner told me Craig goes in there occasionally. I went into the HTML and downloaded the audio from the clip for archival purposes, if anyone's interested I've uploaded that here: www.mediafire.com/file/ikpbgq74y46dgyb/theholdsteady-20050601.mp3

I went to Shake-It records the other day and the owner told me Craig goes in there occasionally. Yeah, after the booze and beer-soaked hangover live in-store appearance by THS there many years ago, Craig has made it a point to stop in and actually shop. It is also another opportunity to remind everyone what a huge fan of Wussy Craig is and they are supported and distributed exclusively by Shake-It. Get some Wussy albums if you have not. Start with "Attica!". That is all.

Thanks for ripping this to audio! I couldn't get the video going for some reason. Flash issue. (And, of course, thanks to you to Rich!)

I think they had a new vinyl in the store last time I was there too, but it might've just been some promotional stuff.

I'm going to go down to Shake-It Records for Record Store Day this year, and then go and check out their show in the evening.
