I can't stop listening to the EP. There's not a duff track on it but I'm especially digging 'Extras' and that whole 'Nebraska' vibe on 'Dennis & Billy'. It's gonna be a long wait to hear the LP in September for sure.

This EP is fantastic, especially Newmyer's Roof. I can't wait for this album!

'Extras' is so good. It might be one of my favorite solo Craig songs.

I really love the whole EP. Can't wait for the record. I wonder if this will have a whole new cast of characters. Those guys in the lobby get mentioned in two songs.

It's been really cool seeing Craig work these songs out live. I can't wait to hear them with a full band. It seems like this album is going to be a lot more uptempo than CHFE was.

My local radio station, WYEP in Pittsburgh, just played "Maggie I've Been Searching For Our Son". Of course, coworkers happened to be distracting me at the time, so I didn't hear it...

I woke up to an email telling me MIBSFOS was on spotify. I've been listening to it all morning, trying to think of something to do for the video.

I woke up to an email telling me MIBSFOS was on spotify. I've been listening to it all morning, trying to think of something to do for the video. It's not on Wimp (which soon will be Tidal, I guess) yet. Too bad. But I just found out that Jeremiah's Blues was out there. I don't think I've ever heard it, I've just read about it here and there. What a song!

I can't find it on spotify. Do you need a premium account to access it?

I can't find it on spotify. Do you need a premium account to access it? you know, I don't know... I don't think premium subscription does that, but I have one and wouldn't notice if it did. Wish I could give you a better answer.

is it just me, or is this album getting substantially more press compared to CHFE (or even the latest THS LP)?
also these are amazing. i love THS but if Craig ends up just doing his own thing for a while, i'll live. fantastic stuff.

The lyric PDF has made me even more excited. 'Going to a Show' is the one that's really got me. I love songs about listening to songs and CF is the greatest exponent of that in recent years.

quick scene report from the show in st louis. Off broadway is a really cool venue. Craig was low key, it was weird to see him solo the first time, but I knew what I was in for. The guitarist, Arun, added some fanastic atmospheric noise, but heart of hearts, I wanted one good rock and roll jam out that I never got. Lots of people knew the music, it was cool to be with fans again, but I missed knowing people from the scene. I should have posted this earlier- I had thoughts I wanted to share that I have forgotten. It's fantastic to get the lyrics from craig in a way that I can process and think about instead of just singing along and sharing the feeling. I feel like I know more about the art and artist than I did with THS. It was different in a way that demands me to separate craig from the lead singer of my favorite rock band, but it also makes more sense that I have been listening to CHFE and Jason Isbell's new album together in rotation. here's some photos from the show. Haha Tonka was good, but my friends and I left after about three songs because I'm old and sober and wasn't feeling great about being in a bar for the first time. Sorry I'm so bad at scene reports.

Did I mention how much I love the album cover? Shot by Dan Monick (drummer of LFTR PLLR).
Musically, I thought it was interesting in a recent interview Craig mentioned the decided lack of cymbals on the record as they take up "the same sonic space as the voice".

I love the album cover too.
And, I love the two songs that I've heard from the record. Really, can't wait.

Yeah Dennis and Billy is my favourite off the EP for sure. I've played the Christine acoustic performance a few times though and that might be my new favourite off the record so far.

Popped on "Maggie..." as I was driving home from work yesterday. First time I've really listened to the lyrics. Wow, what a heartbreaking song, contrasted with poppy, upbeat music. Looking forward to really digesting in the context of the whole record.
