Has anything been officially announced? I thought we were going solely off of one blog's suggestion As I said, my friend at the local record store said they'd put themselves on the list for three copies of each. So there must be something to it. He also had an idea of a price. It's a bit hard for me to say what the price will be in dollars, but he told me it will cost 229 norwegian kroner. That's cheaper than Teeth Dreams (who I think cost about 249 when it came out), and about 10% more expensive than ordinary vinyl releases (which usually goes for 199 in said store). If I was to translate it do prices in dollars, I would guess somewhere in the area of $22-24.

On another tangent, I had a notification today saying that Seperation Sunday is now on spotify, I never knew it wasn't on Spotify. Could this hint a reissue? It seems to be a trend for bands to release older stuff on Spotify before a new release/compilation to build a bit of hype. Just a theory, there might be nothing in it.

I use the norwegian alternative to Spotify, Wimp, and it's always been available there. Strange. I think it was on Spotify a few years ago, but maybe it went away. It would have been great with some reissues.

Prices for LP's are outrageous. I really don't hear it anyway as vs. a CD. Playing CDS through a DAC sound great anyway.

Pressing a record is really really expensive. Gotta cover production costs, pay the artist, pay the label, pay the distributor, factor in store markup & shipping, $20 is pretty reasonable. It kinda sucks when I think about how records used to cost less than CDs, but I'm fine with it. I like having the big artwork and the physical experience of putting the needle down.

I like the experience of the CDs. I just think the price of LPS is outrageous. It's just my opinion and has nothing to do with supporting the band.

The official RSD list doesn't have any THS listed either in the large-press runs or the limited runs... Do they ever have a 2nd round of announcements?
EDIT: I now see that they're listed as "FIRST RELEASES". So does that mean that it's not really a limited RSD run?

4000 copies of BAGIA, and 3300 of HiW. Should both be easy enough to get, the last record store day version of HiW is pretty available

I wouldn't be surprised if the RSD versions are on colored vinyl, and then they're released later on black. Usually for the "RSD First" releases there is something unique/exclusive (e.g. colored, numbered, etc.) about the version available on RSD.

I've checked twice, maybe I'm blind, but they don't seem to be on the UK list at all...
Maybe it's for the best, one less inanimate object for me to buy, one more week of food.

I also like the big artwork and the physical experience of putting that needle down. I also think that vinyl is a little expensive now. I don't really mind paying £20 for an album but the £8/$10 price of a 7" definitely peeves me. I still keep buying them though!

as i said, it's only because pressing costs have gone up so much. my band sells our LPs for $12-15, and we make about 3 bucks profit on each one. we're also not trying to make any real profit or live off of our music. for a band to sustain itself, $20 is perfectly reasonable.

Has anyone seen the band or Vagrant post/say anything about these reissues/represses?

I can't find them on the UK lists either. Was hoping to pick up a HiW cos I missed out on the original Record Store Day release but as you said "one less inanimate" etc.!

Just got the BaGiA version. Looks just like the ordinary release on the outside. Haven't opened it yet, but I guess the only difference is the color.

But it says Vagrant 2014 on the back, so it's obviously a new pressing. Guess I'll open it when I'm home from work, I can verify the color then.

(It's the Terry Butcher photo that makes me think you're UK-based!) I really want the BaGiA and HiW reissues but can't find them in my regular record shops (not stores!)

Happy record store eve!!!
Just to let you know, Banquet (Kingston upon Thames) has both releases in stock. No idea how. I'm going tonight so if anyone wants either copy and can pay upfront, I'll help you out.
Otherwise, banquet puts their leftover stuff online starting April 25th. But it's a gamble.

The store wasn't able to get a copy of HiW.
