Hello Scenesters,
I'm brand new here, but I'm just one of you same kooks. I'm curious as to when the next round of t-shirts might happen. I really want one, but I'm afraid I don't have the cash to fork out for an entire round of them. Dreams, they seem to cost money.
I'd be happy to pay for my shirt or even a portion of a round of shirts. How do we go about making something like this happen?
In any event, I'd like my number to be .44 and the name to read TurpenTim, if possible -- 44 is my favorite number, but 44 w/o the decimal is taken. Size Medium.
Thanks!

Ok. Nevermind. I'm the new guy who obviously asked a question that's common and annoying. I even tried to research the board before I asked, but clearly I didn't find what I needed. Sorry. I'd appreciate y'all not getting frustrated with me. You and I both know that's a negative thing. Golden with, Barlight and Beer

Good to have you on board! Have a look at the "This Thread Will Save Your Life FAQ" thread (originally posted by Brendan)in The Hold Steady section of the board. That should tell what you need. Good luck!

I apologize for my cryptic response. Your inquiry wasn't annoying and does not even remotely warrant an apology. The reason I responded the way I did is because of what happened the last time a board member wanted to have new Scene shirts made. To summarize, a relatively new Scenester offered to place a large order of Scene tees for those of us who don't yet have them (myself included). The arrangement was that he'd get them made, and we'd all send him money so he wasn't out a few hundred bucks on the transaction. Pretty much everybody was stoked on the idea, but unfortunately it ruffled the feathers of some old school Scenesters, who insisted that the newb pay for the entire gesture himself "because that's the way it's always been". It sounds incredulous, I know. Understandably, the new dude got really frustrated with this irrationality and decided not to have the shirts made. I've met him at a THS show before - he seemed like a super cool dude and the whole situation was a real bummer. I'll leave it to Brendan and the like to determine if we can get something like this organized again, maybe in a big PM or something. Welcome again to the boards... don't be afraid to chime in at any time!

Dear all
I have just had another astonishing night courtesy of ths and will do a round of shirts since it has been far too long.
This will be a round of 25shirts and first come first served save that nowah gets two shirts and Selvidge another so22 left. Plus a couple of van juras now I think about it
Check the wiki for numbers and you will need to pm your emails.
I may need to lean on eg Brendan Camie for where the design is at.
Happy to fund but any offers of admin help welcome.
As the man said, stay positive

hi howard, will take you up on that offer if it's ok, number 501, happy to help with anything I can. Still buzzing after another great night by the band this week. Nowah also deserves huge credit for trying last time, and not running away from here after the storm that kicked off!

Dear all,
As of just now, I have 9 PMs so I assume that is 9 shirts gone, plus one for Selvidge and Noah. I think there are going to be 3 van juras so I'm already up to 14.
A few points arise :-
1 I'm going to have to resort to a mass email once I have the orders, so if you are unhappy that the other shirt recipients will know your email, best cancel your order.
2 I forgot to ask you to specify a size (though a number of you have done so and thanks for that) - please do so, if you have not done so.
3 barlight and beer - the shirts won't have your name on them, just a number - that is the wiki list. it would be great if someone can update the wiki list after this round.
4 I make no promises about how long this will take - I have a day job and family. The last batch I did took around a couple of months I think, but we will see.
5 A few of you have offered to help out on the costs, which offers are gratefully received, but probably unnecessary. The issue is likely to be postage and admin, but I may be able to get some help in that direction.
I'm going to call , say next Wednesday as a cut off and will begin the process at that stage with the orders I have then (though I suspect I may well be at 25 before that).
If anyone is able to change the heading of this thread to "Next round of shirts - apply here" or similar, that might be sensible.
Also, if any of you are in florida this weekend, the band are on brilliant form.

I've also PM'd, pretty new here so I feel a little sheepish about getting one but it will be awesome! Thanks once again Howard, if you're in the UK and I find you at a show some time, you'll get a drink or three on me. Edit: Just realised you were at the Manchester show! Next time then

Dear all,
Many thanks for your PMs. Your offers of help are much appreciated even if unnecessary.
I've pretty much hit the quota limit - only 1 left as of 2100 UK time Saturday.
I'll be sending a mass email in the next few days, as there are a number of gaps in some of the PMs.
Please can I ask Stringer, Nelg, Barlight and orzelc to each PM me your email address.
Cheers
Howard
