I've heard in massive nights him change this line:
we kissed in your car and we fucked in her church

"the only thing she talks about's the scene" would've been nice!

The live thing I always notice isn't a lyric, but a change in the guitar break in the chorus of "Hoodrat." The first time through, it's the chugging seven-note thing from the studio version, the second time it's three longer notes. Probably because it's easier to do at the faster tempo it tends to have live.
I particularly notice this, because that seven-note riff is what originally got me into them, when I heard that on KEXP back when Separation Sunday first came out. Something about that break got me to sit up and take notice, and once I heard the lyrics, I said "I need to hear more of this band, immediately."

Admittedly they haven't done this yet, but I think it'd be cool if they made this change on Multitude of Casualties: "It's a funny bit of chemistry, how a cool bar makes a band seem that much cooler." I could see Craig having some fun with that.

There were early tours where a monologue got dropped into the breakdown, etc., but I got the biggest kick out of the version played in Tulsa this spring: during the Thunder/Grizzlies playoff games, Steve wore a shirt that said "MEMPHIS AS FUCK" and, during the "Hoodrat" breakdown, he and Tad played part of "Feel" by Big Star. (Steve confirmed that it was, in fact, "Feel" later on.)

When I saw them in Madison awhile back Craig added a "right?" after "You gotta admit the band's pretty tight" in Chicago Seemed Tired Last Night and the crowd, which took up the whole city block, absolutely lost it.
But if he really said, "God bless you, Mike Van Jura," I couldn't think of anything better than that.

He really did say, God bless you Mike Van Jura - check out the bootleg of the Harrisburg show at ABC on 4th Feb this year at the Who's excellent Hold Steady bootleg site.
He also said something very similar at the start of "Resurrection" in Montclair on New Year's Eve 2012
(And those are just 2 examples, which I can quote as I was in each room at the relevant time. I assume there are other examples as the band are very thoughtful).

I'm partial to the snarky way he says "I love you, too" in the video booth line of Resurrection. Usually followed by an "awwwww". I've heard it a few times live, it makes Holly seem different to me.
At the NYE show in Montclair, we raised a toast to Mike Van Jura instead of Saint Joe Strummer.

I just put on the studio version of Magazines. Turns out I physically can't resist yelling "MAGAZINES!" after the 6th strum.

I went there on "business" Don't we all? This is my favorite, if I'm forced to pick.

Does anyone remember the lyrics to Adderall that Craig used to sing before SP came out? They were a verion of this:
Now Holly won't say hi to me 'Cause I'm in love with my anxiety
The second line was definitley different and I think the first may have been too. (IMO, better.) But I can't remember what they were now. I'm pretty sure they were posted on the old board.

Your'e both right about Adderall, it's both on A Positive Rage and on several versions in TSA. I've heard those live versions about twenty times as often as the studio version, and always mix up those lines when I try to sing along.
