also shout out to Wyatt. I do not know you but he came out and saved me when my ticket turned out to be fake. I owe you a beer/juicebox. This show was pretty incredible. Felt just like 2007/2008 all over again, haven't gotten that wiley at a THS show in a long long time. So many hugs, so many friends. I miss you all!!! Hey! Been a while since I've been on the boards happy I could help a fellow unified scener, what an incredible show, my first time seeing them in New York, hopefully got some new friends and on the train now with my best friend to see them in Harrisburg tonight. Stay positive!

You don't see perfection very often.
On to Harrisburg with a small "songs I would like to hear" list.

The band was on fire last night. Awesome setlist, but man, fuck NYC crowds. I've never had to throw so many 'bows to keep people from pushing, crushing, and jumping on top of me and people around me.
I watched two or three fights almost break out in the center of the room because people were drinking that night for their first time ever (or so it seemed).
I don't know, maybe I'm old (I'm all of 25), but the crowds used to be filled with joy, dancing, and watching out for one another, but now its gotten violent, and hyper-masculine.
I love the band, but New York, never again.

I saw the same thing, great show overall and a lot of fun, but some dude essentially elbowed my gf in the face and then proceeded to vomit into his beer himself and a few folks around him. There were a few folks who could use some time in the chillout tent. On the train to hburg as I typed. Pumped for tonight.

I'd say there used to be a hell of a lot more shoving back in 07/08

Hello everyone! 1. Shout out to Howard who saved the day and got me in for the pre-show (Cory had a pledge ticket and I "had" the second of Kaiteee's fake tickets) 2. Shout out to Wyatt who saved the day getting Kaiteee in. if I see you tonight dude I'm buying a drink of your choice. 3. The set was so good. There are no words, I'm reserving energy for tonight. 4. It was great to see the band so happy to be on stage performing. They completely rocked the night and the 2 hour marathon has left me sore (in a good way... Last night was a work out) and fully energized at the same time. 5. Seeing so many familiar faces! I am not going to list every one of you... Keep a look out for the selfies 6. Meeting new faces! Hope to see you all soon at another show! 7. On the way to hburg, to everyone there tonight... I have confetti! Also... LETS DO THIS!

Did anyone get the address to which we're supposed to send copies of the song Craig told us to record?

I wore my, admittedly past its prime, red Unified Scene shirt but no one said hello so I remain a virtually unknown member of the US. Still it was great to be a part of something so awesome. We arrived early and were lucky to get a front row table in the balcony. Perfect sightlines, great sound a bit of a chance to do my thing without feeling too old down there in the front with the real rowdies. I met a friend of Eric who was the one that had given him the beer and that was kind of a bummer to hear. Probably the only low point of the whole night (well except for the gawd damn Holland Tunnel). It was cool to see Tim Barry sit in during Resurrection, and as a first timer to his music I really enjoyed his set. BBQ > Beers > The Hold Steady > Pinball all with good friends made for one of the best nights I have had in a really long time. We certainly are The Hold Steady. ps. That was my first time in Brooklyn. Our hotel had a great city view, there were reasonable drink prices, great food at every turn and multiple bars with pinball. I love that place and I will be back asap.

One of the most amazing things was seeing Howard drink a glass of something called Fireball which from the label appeared to be some sort of cinnamon whiskey. That's 'cause Howard is the fucking boy.

This song is very quickly becoming one of my favourite THS songs and the record isn't even out yet. Looks like y'all had a great night, wish I could of been there.

I didn't see anything happening behind me, but I thought there was LESS pushing and shoving in the front.....yeah I'm a little bruised and my hand still hurts from pushing back against the stage, but there was none of the nonsense Ive experienced at say Terminal 5 or Valentines or even a few shows at Northsix. Must say that the best shows...with the least violence have been at The Bank Show, Warsaw and The Pony...and when I say violence I mean that stupid ass Moshing or the moving of the crowd for the sake of pushing. I think the 18 and over contributes to the problem cause people get shitfaced before the show, or just pill it up.

I think it was worse in front of Steve/Galen and that a lot of people over that way were trying to push over toward Craig. I was directly in front of Craig and while it got uncomfortable with pushing and I got a couple beers spilled on me (that was actually my fault/the band without realizing it) it was fine near me. Not violent. My forearms are bruised as hell but it wasn't anything intentional. I didn't even lose my glasses off my face! The energy was really good near me, lots of grabbing hands and hugging. And confetti! So, yea. Weird that the experience varied so much.

I was right in front of Craig. hands on the stage. Someone knocked m glasses off and I turned around and in a second someone had handed them back. My hat also got dragged backstage when the guy jumped the stage....but I got it back postshow.
