ROLL CALL.
THS haven't played here for quite a few years. I'm really pumped to see them back at The Earl.

I'll be there. I'm doing the poster and should have some for sale at the show. I'll be sure to post up a preview here once it's all finished.

I'm coming in from out of town and have never been to The Earl. Is there a walkable place to eat/drink near The Earl prior to the show?

Other than that there are a ton of restaurants and bars in the area. If you don't feel like eating at The Earl head down the street to the Flat Iron. They have cheap drinks and good food too.

I caught THS at Variety Playhouse last year and ate at the Yacht Club in L5P. Not at all familiar with the area The Earl is in. One more question if you don't mind. I was thinking about cabbing to the show. Will a cab be easy to grab after the show?

I live in the area, so I know first hand how frustrating it can be when you are hammered with no ride. If you have a smart phone I highly recommend d/ling the taxi magic app. It automatically alerts the nearest free cabbie to pick you up. That way you don't have to wait on hold for 20 mins just to talk to the dispatcher.

There...with the proverbial bells.
Unfortunately, I haven't seen them at The EARL, so I am beyond excited.
I would definitely recommend the food at The EARL, but as charlemagne420 pointed out, there are other places within a short walk.
And for those unfamiliar with the area where The EARL is, I would probably recommend being a little more aware than you would be in L5P. East Atlanta has come a long way, but it's still a little sketchy at times.

I waited too long to get tickets and now, as buddymo has pointed out, it's sold out. Anyone know how I can score 2 tickets? No luck on StubHub and the nice gentleman who answered the phone at the Earl said no tickets will get released the day of the show. Can anyone here help?

I, too need 1 (one) ticket.
I just started dating this girl who I think I'm in love with for the first time in years. She wants to go, and I might not get to see her for a while if she can't. Help a brother out!

Help a brother out! First, do whatever it takes to get into the show. Second, marry that girl. On another note, it's been awhile since the Deep South has gotten Killer Parties. I'd just like to remind the guys that any trip from up north to Ybor City goes directly through Atlanta, Georgia. We want to depart from our bodies!

I am not convinced that there are any physical tickets for this show. My wife bought our "tickets" on September 14, and they were "will-call" tickets instructing us to bring a copy of the email to the venue.
The EARL doesn't have a box office, so I am guessing they will just have a list at the door. If it's set up that way, the only way to get someone's extra "ticket" would be to meet up with him or her at the club and go in with them. I suppose it's possible that they'd have physical tickets at the door, but if you've ever been to The EARL, you would know that doing that at the door would kind of be a pain in the ass.
I have been checking craigslist, etc. because I have a couple of friends who didn't get "tickets" in time, and I've found nothing.
So, for those without tickets, I'd recommend standing outside of the club and just asking folks as they walk by. Or make a little sign or something.

Yeah, it's not looking good. If anyone does have a ticket free up you can reach me at 770-547-3217.

But I bet you can find a way to get your name on a list. Have an early dinner at the Earl and talk to a manager. Hell, hang around the tour bus this afternoon, wait for a THS member to come out, and explain your situation. If all else fails, I'm sure someone in line tonight will have purchased one too many tickets, and they'll let you use it if you ask nicely (and pay).

I did go to a show last year in Charlottesville, VA where it was will call only and you had to bring an email print out of proof of purchase. When I got there, they just looked up your last name and handed me a physical ticket (they didn't even look at the print out). But I've never been to a show at the Earl. I hope everyone gets in that wants to.

You won't need your print-out. Its all on a list at the door. You'll just show up and tell them your name and they will wrist band you.
Can't hurt to bring your print out receipt, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. See you guys down there!

I'm betting they will let you in with just an ID, but I'd print the email out just to be safe.

Someone I follow ( matt_T) posted this on twitter. Pretty sure I've heard of Look Alive before but this has to be the DEBUT of Ambassador. Tell us all about both songs, Atlantans!

According to Craig, it was, indeed, the debut of "The Ambassador". My wife and I both really, really liked it. "Look Alive" was good as well. Fantastic show all the way around. Band sounded awesome, they were in good spirits, the crowd vibe was great. Effing awesome!

I believe they play all songs on that setlist as well as Hoodrat and Stay Positive for the encore
