May is a lovely time in the UK. If you don't believe me, ask an anonymous fifteenth century poet.
Hit befell on Whitsontide Early in a May mornyng, The Sonne up faire can shyne, And the briddis mery can syng.
May is also good for lovin', as another fifteenth century writer (that sexy/possibly evil dude, Thomas Malory) makes clear:
"The month of May was come, when every lusty heart beginneth to blossom, and to bring forth fruit; for like as herbs and trees bring forth fruit and flourish in May, in likewise every lusty heart that is in any manner a lover, springeth and flourisheth in lusty deeds. For it giveth unto all lovers courage, that lusty month of May."
In short: you all should come over and enjoy the UK shows. And meet the UK USers. (Check out all the acronyms, lol wtf diaf!) Because we're awesome. I know, we could just come and see you, but Britain is nice. We've established our chocolate is better than yours. And we have lots of cool old stuff. You know you want to.

I have every intention of spending my frequent flyer miles on a trip across the pond sometime. Still about 5000 short, but when it happens, I'll let you know.

I WILL be there. And though the timing may not be quite right for hitting a few shows, I expect a UK Users meet-up. Please?

I also thought I'd add, the current exchange rate makes it basically the cheapest time in a decade for Americans to visit the UK. Just sayin'.

My wife has been bugging me about going to London for years. I compromised and told her I would go if we went in May and I could see The Hold Steady at Wembley. She strangely agreed (loving Counting Crows probably helped). Soooooo... will be making my first trip across the pond to see my fave band. Any pub/restaurant suggestions welcome. I am new to board and this is my first post (yay for me).

We love the UK. For a the better part of this decade, I was making trips every couple of years.
By the way: we've logged three USers in the 405- Hank and Greenhat a couple of years ago and Heidi this spring. Blondette, you might have real ale, but we've got REAL BARBECUE.
