That said, reading the Bible in Latin does feel pretty awesome. I'm pretty slow at my Latin reading though. But Latin just has the great feeling of the WEIGHT OF HISTORY!
In principio creavit Deus cælum et terram. Terra autem erat inanis et vacua, et tenebræ erant super faciem abyssi: et spiritus Dei ferebatur super aquas.
I mean, just say that out loud. Also, the Vulgate bible is generally pretty awesome.
However, I think King James wins on creepiness with Revelation:
Et cum aperuisset sigillum secundum, audivi secundum animal, dicens: Veni, et vide. Et exivit alius equus rufus: et qui sedebat super illum, datum est ei ut sumeret pacem de terra, et ut invicem se interficiant, et datus est ei gladius magnus.
Not quite as spooky. I mean, the horse is "rufus". *thinks of Bill and Ted*
...woah, I completely derailed this thread. I am sorry.

this iswhat happens to your foot when a large person lands on it during Hoodrat. I still went to Valentines. Two of the best shows I have ever seen. T5 is still the best. and yes that used to be an ankle..the black thing may or may not be a ligament running from heel to toe.

I wasn't there (but based on the setlist, I wish I was!), but I will say that bible salesman has nothing to apologize for - if anything, anyone who didn't join him on stage should be apologizing. This is rock n' roll - buckle up. Not quite. Stage invasions should only be happening if the band or the crew pulls you up. I'm all for having fun, but it's also a matter of respect for the band. (And their equipment--Tad alone has to have well over a thousand dollars worth of pedals in front of him; consider the consequences if even a few dozen people try to get on stage.) If the guys want you up on stage, they'll bring you up there. The fact that you are a girl standing infront of the stage tends to add more to the idea that you will be "asked" up. However, although I have been part of a few of these...I never knew there was a name for them til the Unified Scene came up with it...no one ever 'asked" me to come up. It was sponataneous, and it was part of the fun. I have had beer spilled on me by the band, been kicked in the face by stage divers,(that the band let on stage) had my glasses smashed, whatever. To me it was all part of the rock show. Even last night, there were people pushing and shoving for no fucking reason at all. But , it is what it is. I said before the only reason I went up was because I thought others were doing so. It had been a while since I'd seen KillerParties close a show and thought..well hey heres a nice surprise. Apparently I fucked up. But nothing got hurt and no one got broken. I'll have to write this in my little book of rules now. "No up on stage until asked". Unfortunately it will probably get lost with all my other rule books that i dont bring to shows. So anyway..live and learn right? I think the whole scene is getting too many rules.

Bible... my expertise as a Phys Ed/Health Ed/Softball player who has had many ankle injuries throughout the years.
that looks like a very bad sprain. you may want to go see a doctor and have it checked out.
if not.. Ice for 20 mins on.. 20 mins off (as many times a day that you possibly can... you must follow the 20 mins on/off rule though... mostly the off... do not want to ice too much, but it will help). Use Advil (reduces swelling and helps with pain).. not Tylenol (just helps with pain.. but also thins blood, causing more swelling). Try to keep it elevated.
the black thing is most likely just the bruise from being stepped on... i do recommend getting it checked out though.. ankles are not something to be messed with... what looks like a sprain, may well be a small hairline fracture.

Gin my expertise as an idiot led me to a second show last night where I hopped up and down on it for two hours. This induced numbness. Now it just dull aches and is turning many different nice colors. What I WILL take for this is a grain of salt and next time just push the fat guy next to me out of the way. At SMJ's suggestion I filled one of my crocs with shaved ice and I am wearing it. (but thanks...good advice is probably..."stop going to shows you old fuck")

just don't get frostbite
the fact that it was numb after jumping up and down on it makes me assume a small break.... but you know what they say when you assume.
