What can be said that already hasn't by everyone else? It was a great show - great time - AWESOME TO MEET SMJ, and Camie and Kennedy and everyone else I forgot (Hi Luke and Sarah!!)
I'l try to cobble together some written reports soon but the videos are a little more immediate and take up enough time to do.

I wasn't there (but based on the setlist, I wish I was!), but I will say that bible salesman has nothing to apologize for - if anything, anyone who didn't join him on stage should be apologizing. This is rock n' roll - buckle up. Not quite. Stage invasions should only be happening if the band or the crew pulls you up. I'm all for having fun, but it's also a matter of respect for the band. (And their equipment--Tad alone has to have well over a thousand dollars worth of pedals in front of him; consider the consequences if even a few dozen people try to get on stage.) If the guys want you up on stage, they'll bring you up there.

Um, were we at the same show? I'm pretty sure I was at Irving Plaza last night...and yes, the setlist looks good. But what looks good on paper is, well, not always the greatest in motion. I'm just going to say that- after the two shows that I saw (and that's two of, like, twenty) I sorta felt like something was just....off. Forced. Mechanical. I'll just leave it at that. -- Buzz Killington

Really? A Rangers jersey? That's disappointing... Was there any commentary regarding his choice of teams?

a few pics... I have some of the scene but I am not sure they should be posted. Really? A Rangers jersey? That's disappointing... Was there any commentary regarding his choice of teams? there was a little booing, but I assume that was from Devils and Islanders fans.

He put it on just before the encore. The back says "Finn" with the number "1" below it.
Said something along the lines of "I'd like to thank the New York Rangers for this great jersey they gave me"
Which, on it's own is fine...but if we hear about "The Hold Steady is the official rock band of the New York Rangers" sometime in the coming weeks, I'm calling shenanigans.

Okay. I'm much more okay with that. I would much rather think of him as a Minnesota hockey fan...much more neutral.

Second warning!!! Bwa ha ha ha ha!!! XO WD And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

It may be a Proddy bible, but I'm down with the King James, yes! Great language. Darn us Catholics for not being into scripture in the vernacular until, uh, the 1960s, or we could have cool translations too. Revelations is a freaky book.

I'm Jewish )(reform) and our new translations are gender-neutral, politically correct, and absolutely lacking in poetry. ugh
