ticket-needers:
WRXP is giving tickets away. I tried to win, but I'm afraid that I didn't know the singer of the J. Geils band (it's Peter Wolf, who knew?). If you need a ticket, it's worth looking into and kicking the station on during work. Not sure how long or how often they'll be giving them away.

I didn't know the singer of the J. Geils band. Kid's today... Really -- true trivia is being able to identify the girl in the "Centerfold" video.

Bwahahahahhahhahhahhah.

now, lest you think I never suffer sufficiently, I had to listen to
DMB (no shit, right) Coldplay and Edie Brickell. Choke me in the shallow water before this song ends.
See y'all at the show.

You're shitting me? That's great! What was your trivia question? What is the name of the first person to call the station when they play "What I am" by Edie Brickell? Fortunately I remembered that.

Nope -- Born on the Fourth of July. Pregame at Pete's? I've always been partial to 119 bar. Right next to the backstage door of Irving Plaza on 17th street I think. Has a big pool table right when you walk in.

I got mine last week, and I bought them pre-sale style, the day before they went on sale to the public. They were huge. Like Rangers playoff tickets.

Saw that coming. Nice to know you kids are up on music history. Wayne P.S. Peter Wolf plays "Dirty Water" in the encores every time Bruce is in Beantown.

arggghhh...can't go to Albany due to work commitments.
NYC is now doable, but I didn't buy a ticket (naturally). Though I'm a trivia whiz (and even have a Peter Wolf solo album- Lights Out, uh-huh) I can't listen to that radio station online at work (no online radio stations, no streaming video, no social networking websites, no blogs, no, nein, nyet).
So if anyone has an extra ticket lying around (or knows where one is to be had), please PM me (grovel, grovel).
Thanks, your ole pal phils_fan

I'm going to guess "There's nobody really named J. Geils." How did I do?
