www.myspace.com/franznicolay The UK shows are listed on there. I'm not sure how much everyone enjoyed Major General but i for one loved it and i've got at least a few mates who also do. Woke up to a message from one of them telling me he'd announced these dates, great thing to wake up to. This is gonna be awesome. (Sorry if this has been posted already, i searched and didn't find anything)

Hmmm... London is the obvious choice for me, but I'm gonna try and see if I can do Brum

I thought Brum was that English childrens show about a miniature car that knocks down bad guys by opening its doors as it drives by.... which is sort of what I imagine Franz doing in his spare time.

seann - It is. Its also slang for Birmingham used by people who cant be bothered saying/ typing it. Also it avoids Americans saying the whole word which sounds like chalk on a blackboard to me.

brum is set in brum, seann. it also teaches children to steal. in other news, i am very excited that people are considering my home city for the franz joy.
the glee club is a wonderful venue. one of malcolm middleton's favourites places to play, apparently. this makes me happy.

Is that a typing error on the myspace page or is there really a month between Bedford and Brum

no, there's really a month between bedford and brum.
i think it's because it's dates with chuck prophet and then just a show (i.e. not supporting anyone) and then fn is back to do dates with mark eitzel. or, this is my explanation.

sweet..maybe a solo birmingham show (upstairs at the Victoria would be great hint hint)
On a side issue the glee club is fast becoming my venue of choice for gigs this autumn. In September, The Low Anthem, followed by The Felice Brothers in October and Franz in November. Plus, just cause I'm on the mailing list they throw me free tickets every now and then!

I shall go to Leeds! Will have to wait a bit to buy tickets though since I'm poor. But I hope they won't sell out too fast

i think the brudenell has a capacity of around 300 (well, i know really, since i've put on gigs there before), so i can't see it selling out.

Cool I've never been there. I see it's in Headingley though, so I assume it'll be a good place for a studenty cheap pint beforehand
