Awesome show, great to see them in a small bar venue. Wish they'd played First Night, but that's being petty.

At this rate, perhaps my secret dream will be realized this weekend in Toronto. The one where Koob busts out the Limelight riff in nothing but an argonauts jersey and a cowboy hat? Pretty sweet setlist, btw. What the hell would I want a cowboy hat for? PS. On the Loose

Anyone else have issues getting into the venue? We waited 20 minutes outside. Came in just as Constructive started. There are a lot of shows at the Warehouse. Why don't they have this scanning ID thing figured out? Once we were in it was one of the best shows I've seen. Just disappointed to miss the beginning.

Oh, NOW they play Same Kooks. Seven shows for me since last July and I still haven't heard what is one of my favorite rock songs EVER. Also, Stevie Nix & THE SWISH!? You all are very lucky.

The setlist was insane last night.. (I remember on the drive to the venue I was thinking, "it would be sweet to hear Milkcrate Mosh live, but they'll never do it...")
When they started out with Positive Jam, I knew it was gonna be amazing. And the new songs sounded amazing.. we could hear them better today than the night before.
Also, I wanted to say that it was nice meeting frannyglass and missalabamanobody. I don't know if the guy that was beside frannyglass is on the board (didn't catch his name -- sorry), but I'd like to say thanks again for letting me up front.

New to do for the bucket list: go to a Hold Steady show where they haven't played before. That's where you get all these killer sets. I'm expecting "Curves and Nerves" to drop soon, now.

Ok this is how the set list works ... each set list is a personal selection of one of the band members. They rotate who is going to chose the set every gig and they usually do not know what it is until just before the gig.

Edmonton setlist was better lol I gotta agree with holdsteadycanada - Edmonton set list was better, especially as there were a lot of people in Calgary who had never seen the band before. Newbies would not have recognised a lot of the songs played last night. The Edmonton gig itself was a little better too. The Warehouse in Calgary was so damn hot - even some of the band looked as though they would pass out towards the end.

It was a great night and I managed to get a copy of the set list (attached if I've mastered the technology) - the song title you're looking for after Cutters is Our Whole Lives. Attachments:
