Good idea, bumping it. Now, unfortunately, I can't go. Cub Scout business to attend to...

I've just read on the LPR website that Chuck Klosterman will be joining the guys for this radio hour. Just more salt in the wound that I can't make it. Someone please go to this and report!

scene report: radio happy hour with craig finn, tad kubler and chuck klosterman - this was an 'old timey radio program not on the radio'. highlights included a 3 act drama in which craig, tad and chuck participated. representative quote from tad "i spit in craig's funyons.". craig & tad played cheyenne sunrise and multitude of casualties and there was a short roundtable discussion about growing up in the mid-west, living in nyc and writing a screenplay adaptation of klosterman's fargo rock city: a heavy metal odyssey in rural north dakota.
i got a nice recording of multitude of casualties and a few pictures. a good time was had by all.

Cake - Would love a copy of Multitude. I was there too, nice show. It was presented as sort of a NYC version of Prarie Home Companion. A definite Middle Western States feel, Klosterman from North Dakota, show host Sam from Minnesota too.
Here's a summary of the plot of the show: "This month promises an interview with the band and Klosterman, two intimate performances by The Hold Steady, and Finn and Kubler starring in the murder mystery radio-play as two bickering brothers on family vacation with their step-father Chuck Klosterman. When they make a pit stop for drinks at a small town bar along the way, they get fingered for a murder they may or may not have committed."
