It's a big deal, though! 2,894 seat capacity. I'm excited. Now, only if I can make the trip...

Non-GA venue or not...the Beacon is ...the fucking BEACON THEATER.
Probably in the top three venues to see a grownup-type concert in NYC.
Tell me ONE major band that HASN'T played the Beacon.
This, my friends, is BIG.

Oh I pray my favorite band does not sell out and start playing seated venues. fuuuuuuuuck . I'm happy for them I guess, but it would not be the same if they started playing seated venues regularly.

This is indeed a big deal, and I will be there. Very cool! Can they sell it out?

Yeah they can sell it out. I'm probably going to go ahead and pick up a couple of tx on the somewhat unlikely odds I can go to a show in NYC on a Thursday 6 months from now

I was bummed that this was a seated show as well until I just got a pair in the center of the second row. I've gotta give THS credit - I've never seen such good tickets in a free fan club pre-sale.

4 tickets, 4th row center on the 'floor'. This has been a good news day, son.

Post by hoodrat on Apr 7, 2010 9:23:31 GMT -5
ugh. i fail. ticketbastard told me for about 10 minutes that i had a one minute wait, then offered me two seats in the back of the orchestra for $84. so i said no and searched for a single seat. got one row CC, seat 14. so . . . we'll see what my schedule permits come October.

Worst ticketbuying experience ever. It was about a 20 minute wait on Ticketmaster. Ended up with balcony seats. I've been to almost every NYC show since before Separation Sunday and this will be no exception, but at this moment, my fury is significant.

A 24 is that good? it says orch2. I can't tell crap from the seating chart.
Also, be excited if this is a good seat because it's SO unlikely I will make this show. It could be yours.

Ditto - I ended-up in the last row of Orchestra. Is Ticketmaster sitting on a ton of tix?? Short answer: yes. Pre-sales are always limited to a certain subset of tickets.
