I STILL need to book a hotel for this... pretty low on funds going to have to break out the curs-ed credit card as much as I hate to. At least hotels in DC are not super expensive like Philly.
1 MORE WEEK !

For those looking for a way in to the show: I might have a +1 since I'm writing a review for a local blog, but I won't be sure until Monday night.
Sometimes management gives me one and I pass it off to the first person looking to get in.

My wish list for DC / Philly DJs Same Kooks Sapphire Chicago Slapped Actress Swish Smidge Seconding Kooks as I've never seen it live. And let's add First Night to that and we'll be good to go. And maybe Killer Parties since I haven't heard them perform it live in over 3 years (it's time to put that one back in rotation).

Hi everyone. I have an extra ticket for the 9:30 club if anyone is still in need (my wife decided to go the Wilmington DE show instead of DC). I also have 3 extras for Philly the next night.
Saw the boys in Harrisburg and Orlando (2x) earlier the year, and looking forward to a great week of shows.

There is nothing supercheap or super close by. If you make reservations NOW, you might have a shot at the U Street bed and breakfast (which is VERY close, but very small and fills up quickly). Also check out the Days Inn (Connecticut Ave), Windsor Inn, Embassy Inn, Holiday Inn (Central), Hotel Helix. The Morrison Clark sometimes has good deals. None are cheap, but those aren't always crazy expensive. Of course, if you have a few hundred dollars to drop on the occasion, there are some truly fabulous places. If you want something really cheap, look in Arlington or out NY Ave NE, but they're a pretty long cabride away. Holy Shit the Hotel Helix is f'in slick - they have a huge picture of Steve McQueen on the wall in the room photo for god's sake ! only problem is I would have to rob a bank on my way there...

I guess i should have pulled the trigger on that awhile ago. What say y'all to Nellie's Sports Bar? It's right at 9th and U, about 1 block further than Duffy's, but I'm much fonder of the food. www.nelliessportsbar.com/index.php

booked the Holiday Inn on Bladensburg Rd. looks to be close to venue.
as far as the pre-bar , I am wired for sound and down w/ whatever.
I am really dying for this show , unfortunately that usually results in drinking way too much and blacking out. hey what the hell , maybe this time will be different

a vote for nellie's sports bar before the show (polly's beloved dolphins are playing the evil patriots that night) and then dc9 post-show (for those of you still standing).

I believe in the power of the fins. (It should be said that I despise Tom Brady. Not as a person, but just on the field.) I second this plan. Also, this way I can get my bucket of corn dogs. If you can't tell, I'm super excited about Monday.
