Once I was reading Scott Pilgrim and I was listening to music at the same time, I think it was The Hold Steady (it usually is), but there were 3 words that I read and heard at exactly the same time. That was pretty weird.

I was walking on the beach and this skinny guy with no shirt walked past me, so my ipod played me some Iggy.
Yeah, that's about all I can think of.

A couple of days ago I was reading Klosterman's "Killing Yourself to Live." This is probably my 4th time reading the book so I know what to expect for the most part, but I forgot about the section where he dissects "Kid A" song by song and relates it to Sept. 11. Anyway, I was at work and had put on Kid A in the background about 15 minutes prior to reading that chapter. Then there is a footnote that says the reader should probably go listen to Kid A (which I was already doing).
Okay, I suppose that is more of psychic book than a psychic iPod, but it was still kind of fun.

Tion, this links to your Mojo playlist post from last week. When I got that copy and first sat down to look through it, I put on the shuffle and in the 10mins it took to reach Craig’s list 2 of the 5 got played. Titus & Soft Pack
(the 2 you forgot were the Stone Roses & Night Marchers)

Earlier this spring while I was cutting grass I noticed a growing flock of barn swallows flying around me in circles. As they circled me, my phone (which is my mp3 player) played Ted Leo's "The Mighty Sparrow", tMG's "Magpie", and some other bird related song that I can't currently recall all in a row.

My iPod's never on shuffle, so I'm pretty sure I haven't had a moment like this yet. I'll have to shuffle it some more.

I don't know if this really counts as psychic ipod but.... the other day I was getting ready for work and listening to American Slang (the album) and had Sportscenter on and they started playing American Slang (the song) over a Brett Favre montage... It was very weird...

I was listening to Xiu Xiu on shuffle and thought to myself "Man, their cover of 'Under Pressure' hasn't came on yet." It was the next song.
I can't think of any awesome psychic iPod moments.

More of a psychic cockrel moment, but I'm in Portugal at the moment and next door there's a cockrel that makes that perfect cartoon cockadoodledoo, and I was listening to Frank Turner and it made that noise in time with the music 3 times in a row. That made me smile...

a few days ago, I was listening to "Shakedown" by Sultans (ex- Rocket From The Crypt, Hot Snakes, The Night Marchers, etc.) when I drove past a bar that was featuring a band named "Shakedown" playing that night. i think that's as close as my iPod has come to being psychic.

I don't have any IPod stories (no IPod), but a very weird song coincidence thing happened to me many years ago.
Sometime in the mid/late 1980s, I was making a mix tape. I had just put on "White Elephant" by the Volcano Suns, and I was trying to figure out what to put on next. After a few minutes of searching, I decided to go with "Needles in the Camel's Eye" by Eno.
I listened to the tape a lot, and got used to the two songs being in a row (you know how when you listen to an album a lot, when one song ends, you mentally expect the next song on the album to come on?). Anyway, maybe two years after I made the tape, I was at a Volcano Suns show. About 3/4 of the way through the show, they played "White Elephant", and followed it directly with a cover of "Needles in the Camel's Eye"!! I was completely freaked out, but I did feel vindicated that I had done well in picking a follow-up song!
