It's a perky little number. Jaunty guitar line and some Ohhs and Ahhs on the backing vocals. I like it a lot. Too frivolous for the album proper perhaps.

It wasn't a pre-order exclusive. You can buy as an individual track on UK iTunes for 79p. It brings Tad's Oasis obsession to the fore: there's a guitar line ripped straight from Some Might Say.

I was gonna say Tad's rolling with it on this one, but that would be wrong. However even Mrs Wealdstone got the Gallagher riff

Wow, this track is so upbeat and single-worthy.
I love it.

Worth the pre-order. (my physical copy is still in the mail's hands) If HiW is the narrator's album, then Touchless belonged on the album. But I'm on my second day of painting till 6 am, getting 3 hours sleep, grabbing the groceries, grabbing the kids, and house painting more. I'm a bit off at this point.
I just wanted to say that Touchless sounded perfect at 4 am, when I was completely sick of the BBC History podcast (amusing as it is to hear them say 'right' and 'ok then' and 'i've got it' in tones that an American hears as 'drop dead' or 'you've got to be kidding' and how boring are you' - english and american, so different.)
Touchless might be my second favorite song of HiW.

This is my least favorite THS song. How come? And I'm not meaning that in a "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU!" sort of way, I'm just curious as to why.

Just listened to Touchless for the first time. I like it. The only thing I don't like is having bonus tracks after A Slight Discomfort, because that is a perfect album closer. But I'm happy to have 2 additional songs and I'm not big on altering the sequence, so I always just leave bonus tracks appended to the end of an album.

It would be the ideal B-side to "Rock Problems"...
That said, it's not one of my favorites by any means.

I love this one. Not the best THS song by far, but I really love singing along with it.

I think what really sells it for me is how "U.S. ingenuity/Canadian security/British amplifiers/point-to-point technology" flows.

Touchless = 'Supersonic' by Oasis. Spot on.
Not a bad thing. We know Tad likes old school Oasis.
Love the song, but it's in the right place - it doesn't belong on HIW.
But 'Ascension Blues' probably does.

Seems like they wrote it to entice quiznos to come to shows.
