This board seems to like its alt-country a fair bit, so I have a fantastic band to tell you all about. I wouldn't quite consider them alt-country. Maybe more of a high energy stomp-along banjo driven folk-rock. Sometimes people call them death-country. The singer has a voice like sand and whiskey. Their live show is absolutely beyond compare. Both times that I've seen them they have handed out dozens cake pans, cookie, sheets, wooden spoons, tambourines, and anything else that would make noise. The crowd rattles and bangs along to the tunes creating an electrifying audience participation cacophony. Their latest album "Mountain Meadows" does a great job of capturing their on stage energy. Give them a listen

love 'em. ''the bridge'' is easily one of my favourite songs of the past few years.
