Holy crap! If they get to Chicago or please, please, please MN I will be there. Brighten the Corners especially had a huge place in my adolescence.

glad to know that my ... puzzlement at the deification of pavement isn't completely isolated. i agree on archers of loaf, though. what a band that was. I am in full agreeance with this post.

I got tickets. I am seeing them Friday, September 24, 2010 in NYC. I am relatively sure that I will remember, and anything at Central Park SummerStage is always good, but will I care in a year? I mean it has never been a major regret that I never saw them live, but do I really have to wait a full year? A lot could happen, including the band breaking up (or deciding not to do it, or whatever you want to call it) again before the show. I guess we'll see.

Pavement to headline and curate ATP Weekend at Butlins in Minehead on May 14–16, 2010. www.atpfestival.com/I'm not sure if I'd go on that basis alone but will be interesting to see who is added to the line up??

I'm not sure if I'd go on that basis alone but will be interesting to see who is added to the line up?? yeah, agree with this. i was gonna go this year but it turns out that it clashes horribly with my final-year-of-my-degree exams. i look forward to seeing the line-up and who in the world of music the band happens to rate enough to ask to play.

That ATP will be amazing. Anyone want to lend me a couple of hundred quid?

i should be totally stoked about a pavement tour, but i confess i find myself immune to the breathless excitement just yet.
those NYC tickets sold out near instantaneously OVER A YEAR before the concert. i dunno. maybe it's just because i can't plan my life that far in advance. but for some reason i am even more skeptical that pavement can plan their lives that far in advance.

Pavement in St. Paul in mid September. This is like an early birthday present for me.

I've always liked Pavement a lot, and even though they're a bit away from my top ten list, I definitely appreciate all of their albums. A bit skeptical to the live format, though. From the clips I've seen and heard they doesn't seem like the band who shows their absolutely best side live.
Still, I'm really looking forward to the gig at Primavera in may. Pixies and Pavement headlining two consecutive days - it's going to be great.

i like them a lot, but i'm not fanatical like a lot of their fanbase and as such it just isnt worth me forking out for the gigs, them being so far away. It's a shame because i'd like to have seen them but i guess the gigs are for those who are desperate and im not so its only fair that the "real" fans get to go ahead of me.
