Ooh yeah! That's not bad actually, maybe I'll have to give it a shot Am trying to be a bit controlled with my spending though due to impending trip to the Edinburgh festival...

A co-worker just gave me "Blankets" by Craig Thompson to read today. I'm very excited. I've wanted to read it for a while.

I know all too well how this feels. I've got a storyline, even panels and storyboards for the first page, a few character designs... But I just can't draw the way I want to.

i can draw pretty much the way i want to, but i still haven't come up with a solid storyline and characters i'm completely happy with. i'm working on it, though. however, no, i don't want to illustrate your story.

I wasn't asking, you big headed goit All I meant is that I'm going to have to learn to draw the style I want it to look like. I also got really into stickers/street art, so I started on this other thing which was kind of like a graphic novel which just used the city as it's backgrounds.

I picked up some Harvey Pekar at the library yesterday because I realized how much I missed him.

I'm kind of working on making a comic/short story type thing using a piece of writing I did ages ago about when my friend committed suicide when we were 17. Hmmm... seeing that written down it sounds pretty depressing! But hopefully it'll come out ok. It's odd coming back to that bit of writing (and illustrating it!) now that I am more detached from the situation, but it's nice to have a project. I've also been doing some comic strips that I might see if my uni paper wants to print next year. Dunno if they'd be up for it but I'll probs give it a shot! Mike and Stringer I hope you do both do a graphic novel because I know they would be a pleasure to read - I really like both of your drawings a lot

Aw cheers Caz, be sure to let us know about your comic, too! I'm thinking my one is gonna be more of a comic itself, anyway. I made a comic before, was loads of fun!

I read Asterios Polyp today. It came in the mail yesterday and I couldn't put it down once I started. It truly lived up to all the hype it's been getting. The drawing is amazing. Highly recommended.

That does it, I'm buying Asterios Polyp when my paycheck hits Friday. ---- Meanwhile: tinyurl.com/q8nze4 The Walking Dead has been put into TV production by AMC here in the states, Frank Darabont heavily involved.
