I'm listening to the new Elvis Costello and it is awesome. It has an old timey almost country feel to it, his voice sounds fantastic...just really good stuff all around.

Thumbs up from me! It drags a bit in the middle...but I'm enjoying it. Looking forward to the iTunes download tonight that includes his version of Velvet Underground's "Femme Fatale."

Is it half as good as King of America? I don't really know how to measure the two against each other. It's just a totally different time and period in his career. I guess I would have to say no, but King of America totally blew me away at the time and again just different artistic statements despite some similar sounds. That said, this one really is good all around. Great musicianship, T-Bone Burnett production and Elvis so in my eyes you can never go wrong. Once you accept, of course, that you'll never get another (insert name of great album from his 1st ten years here).
