It's streaming on Wilco's site (and "out there" on the internets)... wilcoworld.net/discs/thealbum/Gotta say I'm loving it...but then again, I'm biased. They're second only to THS for me these days. Jack

I liked the first song but the next three have been terrible. I wish they were still a rock n roll band and not "The American Radiohead" Jay Bennett is a god.

The term, steaming pile of crap comes to mind. I am however, enjoying Sonny Feeling. The slide guitar is brilliant.

I'm on "you and I" so far. Sky Blue Sky was a grower for me, I think this one might fall into the same category.
I still don't regret spending some $$$ on two shows in July.

Everlasting Everything sounds like a song Seals & Croft threw away in 1975. What a bummer. I didn't think I was going to dig it but I didn't think It would make me feel nauseous.

Oh no. Could this be Wilco's Yacht Rock record? Still making my way through it.

Definitely disappointing on first listen. I had pretty high hopes.
Lots of that mid-70s vibe/production. And not in the good Exile on Main Street kinda way.
Still one of the best live bands in America, though.
Anyone download the leaked new Son Volt? It's getting mostly raves on the Farrar board.

You Mr Ramone sir, are a genius. I was far to consumed with contempt to articulately express my opinion. I have seen them 15 times and they are superb live.

The suck-ups at via chicago are fully going down on the whole album. No surprise there.
Bull Black Nova will kill live, if you dig the full on freak out stuff. Spiders/Kidsmoke vibe.

They left me behind years ago. But I'll always have Summerteeth and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.

just finished my first listen...i don't think it's awful or great...there are a couple of really good songs I liked Sunny Feeling and One Wing, but a lot of the album is just a little boring. I;ve always liked Wilco but wouldnt consider myself a really big fan. Summerteeth and YHF are really their best in my opinion.

I feel like they haven't put together a complete album since YHF (which is in my all-time top 10, maybe top 5 depending on my mood). The last two albums have included songs that turned out to be really fantastic live (Handshake Drugs, Company on my Back, Theologins; Hate it Here, Walken, Impossible Germany). I'm not sure I see that potential on Wilco (The Album), but it's early.
