I apologize if this is a question that has been answered before. But I'd love to know what people's favorite The Hold Steady tour has been and why?

Can't choose. Too hard. Last one and Constructive Summer '08 are definitely up there.

Rock N Roll Means Well with DBT. It's tough to beat two of your very favorite bands out on the road together. Two nights at The Fillmore, epic.

The one with Art Brut. I wasn't even there, I live in the UK (ARGH!!!!). Art Brut were at the time my favourite band, and by doing this tour led me to The Hold Steady. If only they did it again, in the UK. Oh apart from that, the UK one at the end of '08, I actually went to that one

Rock n Roll Means Well. Two of my favorite bands on stage, can't really beat that (unless they decide to tour with Lucero).
Also got to hear the debut of "Sharp Cross" and saw an amazing encore that featured Chillout Tent with Patterson and Shonna alternating vocals, Ride On, Lookout Cleveland, and Killer Parties.

2007 NME rock'n'roll riot tour with art brut. no question. ' This was the first time I saw them and I wasn't a "fan" - went with my husband and was totally and completely in love with them by the end of the show. I also loved Art Brut.

This tour was the first time we saw THS. We'd already seen Art Brut twice before, but I was super excited to see THS. Totally blown away. Now I'm missing Art Brut to see THS

Gotta say that the epic road trip JonnyJay and I mounted pretty much wins. Terminal 5 & Electric Factory were goooooooooood times.

Hold Steady shows completely transcend any other concert experience I've ever had (or likely will ever have).
The emphasis for me at least, is now more about the experience - the people - the camaraderie with people from all walks of life that go to the shows. I honestly forget I'm going to the rock show at some points. I still love the group, but somewhere along the line it kind of turned for me, that the people I go to the shows with is just as exciting.
Every tour has had it's brilliant moments. That wide-eyed, 'HOLY SHIT' stuff happens at almost every show I've been to. I like that feeling and I want it to continue.

BAGIA. the band at the perfect moment - small clubs, bigger clubs, tiny bars, the brink of success, and a whole lot of excitement.
