Liverpool for me too.
Chelsea is a really bad choice Sactochris - a loathsome soulless club owned by a Russian billionaire/crook who has bought them all their success in recent years, the real Chelsea fans have been priced out of attending the games and been replaced by rich gloryhunters.

yeah we dreamed. we just seem to have lost the pace we worked hard to get to. still, good season by our standards, just a shame it fizzled out.

Martin O'Neill is a great manager and you seem to have one of the better, more understanding chairmen in the league, so if he can strengthen and add to the relatively small squad over summer I can see Villa challenging for the top 4 and in some of the cups again. I am hoping for Villa and our own's sake that we don't buy Gareth Barry off you this summer, as much as I think he's a great player, I'd rather we kept Xabi Alonso.

please don't steal barry. i believe that we can challenge for top 4 again with o'neill. i trust his judgement on buying players and i think that the young'uns that we've got will just get better over time, especially if martin doesn't leave us and concentrates on getting the squad to work well together.

I'm a Villa fan to – I was born into it! – and it has been a strange season. At the start if you'd have offered me fifth place (which I reckon we'll hang on to) I'd have snatched your hand off, but now after seeming so close the that 4th or even 3rd spot its a little anti-climatic.
I went to the West Ham game last Saturday and it showed up how much me miss – and will miss if he retires which is likely – Laursen at the back. Going forward we are fine but without Laursen we will always concede!

Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger is the best coach I have ever witnessed. It's fabulous how consistently he manages to form those young teams again and again that play the most exciting soccer in Europe. It's so sad that the team of the Thierry Henry era never won the Champions League.

As we used to sing at Elland Road, to the tune of Que Sera Sera ... "When I was just a little boy I asked my mother, 'What should I be? Should I be Chelsea? Should I be Leeds?' Here's what she said to me. 'Wash your mouth my son, And go get your father's gun, And shoot the Chelsea scum, Shoot the Chelsea scum.'" Clearly, I don't wish to actually shoot you. But I have watched most of my football at Elland Road and Loftus Road, homes to the two clubs with the most visceral hatred of Chelsea, and I share that hatred. Hatred above even that I have for Man U.

I'm Aston Villa as well, fookin love the footie and i'm a septic tank, been watching since i met me South London brother back in 96, the reason i support Villa is the fact they are owned by the Lerners who also own the Cleveland Browns of the shite NFL, also have a soft spot for Crystal Palace FC who every now and then pop into the top flite for a season before heading back down... Villa did a fairly good impression of the old Browns this year by getting my hopes up for CL football next year only to watch it slip away, i'm not sold on Barry staying and i love the boy but if he keeps running his mouth it's time to take the cash and let him go, they have the best young talent in England and arguably the best manager, O'Neill is a genius and other than SAF i don't see who's better, though now that i think about it David Moyes is pretty damn good, i also think that if John Carew would've stayed healthy all year things might have been different cuz the boy can score in bunches and doesn't seem to go out to lunch like Gabby and Ashley Young, here's hoping they crack the top four next year.

THE EPL makes me vomit and it's murdering football and it's only a matter of time before it collapses. Or something.
I myself support Celtic. I perhaps care way too much about it.

Do Villa have a left-back? For as much as MON (as we called him) is an absolute saint and legend, he never once signed a left-back for us, and had a terrible habit of punting a centre-back out there. Personally I think Villa's undoing came with the signing of that carthorse Heskey. MON completely changed the system to accomadate him and it seems to have a negative affect on Agbonlahor and Ashley Young. How is Petrov getting on these days btw? He seems to have settled in now.

Got to see Celtic play in Cleveland Stadium against Boca Jrs on a champions league tour, being of Scottish heritage i know i should support a team up there but i can't bring myself to support either side of the holy war, even Hibs and Hearts cause me some consternation, maybe i'll big up St. Mirren or something, either way seeing Celtic was great and meeting a bunch of Celtic supporters from across the pond was better, they sured liked to party... i fit right in.

Roy, you are right about the EPL though, if they don't get shit straight i believe it will implode, did see a bunch of stuff online about the guvment looking into the debt of the big four and the like to make sure the league is stable, they should probably think about the 6+5 rule as well, didn't Scotland implent that in the SPL to help the national team? and though we may not have made the Euro's and the like due to bottleing it against was it Latvia? or some such shit team at least they are getting better. I told the wife that some day before i die i'm going to see a Scottish national team game in Hampden Park, i were my Scotland kit much more than my USNT one, i saved that goal that McFadden scored against the frogs and watched it over and over, "McFaadddeeeen, and Scotland lead one nil in Paris"

i like rugby bestest. rugby is real sport. they don't spend half the time pretending to be hurt. proper men who will play with broken bones and blood streaming down their face.
footballers are... pathetic pretty boys compared to rugby players.

There's a rule that three under 21 players must be named in the squad, which was supposed to help. I'm of the opinion that Clubs should only be able to operate with the money that they generate. I think the combined debt of the big four in the EPL is over £1 billion, which is just ridiculous and shouldn't be allowed. It would maybe stop oil barons and shady billionaires pumping money into football clubs and using them as toys. Also the money that SKY pumps into the EPL is ridiculous. A insiginifcant wee team like Stoke will be getting £30-40 million in TV revenue alone. It's disgusting that teams across Europe with prestigious histories can't compete for players with bottom tier EPL clubs. I don't really care about Scotland. International football ain't my thing. I can't bring myself to care anyway. Tho I do like seeing England getting pumped.
