Some of you may have seen this already but the brand new beverage utility sets are up in the store. A couple of the items are a bit more expensive than last time but it's worth it. For the unfamiliar, this time around we did: 1) glass beer mug (15 oz, double sided printing w/ gold shimmer ink) 2) bottle coozies (zipper style, 2 color schemes: light grey by itself, or black with bev set) 3) aluminum credit card style bottle opener (lighter that v 1.0) Link: www.bluecollardistro.com/theholdsteady/categories.php?cPath=237_831Let me know what you all think, feedback is very appreciated. Enjoy! -Burton

Oh man. You should not have put that up the day after I got my paycheck. I think I'll limit myself to the stein.

The "credit card" opener from V.1.0 is a total instrument of death. It's like something Krusty the Clown would blindly endorse. It makes my wallet weigh 2 pounds, only reluctantly opens beers, and has wonderfully sharp edges that are way more dangerous than any edged weapon I've ever owned. It also kinda smells like Moosehead. I love it so much.
That being said, I'm in for the new kit. Gotta get ready for fishing season.

You want me to open my beer bottle with the extra-light aluminum credit card style bottle opener and put my bottle into the bottle-cozy before I drink it? I'll think about it. Wait, where is my button that says "gonna walk around and drink some more"? I have to put that on first...!
Ok, sorry, sarcasm is the criticism of a poor mind. But is it really necessary to advertise every silly THS merch article (let alone even producing it)?

But is it really necessary to advertise every silly THS merch article (let alone even producing it)? sad to say it's heading in this direction, but, y'know, you don't have to buy this stuff, it's just a bit of fun. constructively, i think people should bear in mind when designing these kinds of merch/tat crossover items that there might be one or two fans whose favourite THS album isn't "stay positive". i'm not saying do ones for the other albums too (though a pack of shot glasses with one for each album might be...no! less is more!), but, y'know, maybe something non-album-specific that just said the hold steady on it and had a cool design, yeah? xo

I got the set, however I am still at a loss as to what to do with the beer coozie - do those of you in hotter climates in the US/Oz actually ever use these things to keep your beers cold?

People actually use beer cosies?
I really like the design of the one with guitar swinging, I'd buy a badge or T-shirt with that design, but I don't really see myself having a beer cosy.

gents, clearly, you have never been fishing in 100+ degree weather. even a few more minutes of cold beer is very useful.
