Everyone who has tickets for Saturday is in for such a treat. Ezra Furman is bringing his band, and they and he are brilliant.

If anyone needs a primer on Wussy here is an excellent read: LA Review of Books - Essay by Charles TaylorIt is really long but exceptionally well-written and more of an essay than a critique. As per the NY Times it is, "about how music can continue to matter in our lives, even at an age when we’re not supposed to care so much anymore. His piece is ostensibly about his favorite band, a unit out of Cincinnati called Wussy. (Look for their music. You will not be disappointed.) But it’s also about hitting late middle age and still finding your life in flux, about how you perhaps “haven’t relegated your interests and passions to hobbies, that those passions are still how you define yourself, that you’re working at a job — and likely more than one — to pay the rent and provide a modicum of stability rather than carving out a career.” File this essay under: Soul."
