I'll pay for the record+shipping if anyone here can snag me a copy. I'll likely work Black Friday but in any case the closest record store to me is a 45 minute drive, and they don't participate in RSD releases. I'm sure plenty of folks will be asking but figured it wouldn't hurt.

The indie exclusive version of the newest LP is more limited than this and it’s still available. Also, stores are a lot less strict when it comes to mailorder for Black Friday titles. Keep an eye on Bull moose and Plaid Room

Yeah these songs are great. I’m so glad they’ll be on vinyl.

Depending on online availability, I would love to cut a deal for someone to bring home an extra copy.
Was just examining the cover art, and it seems like the building in the artwork is an actual place. Minnesotians probably now this allready, but for those of us not so familiar with Minneapolis: It's an old record store, Oar Folkjokeopus, who shut down in 2001. It's located on the corner of Lyndale/W26th street, right in the middle of some of the other geographical references from the Hold Steady and Lifter Puller universes.

Back in the day, OarFolkjokeopus was the record store to shop in Minneapolis. There is a whole chapter about Oar Folk in Cyn Collins book “Complicated Fun - the Birth of Minneapolis Punk and Indie Rock 1974-1984”. In that chapter, Craig Finn talks about bargaining with his parents about mowing the lawn if he could get a ride to Oar Folk. I spent plenty of money buying records there - it’s a perfect picture for a record store day release.

I hate waking up early but tomorrow is the day!! Up for half 7 to get a lift to Ebbw Vale train station so I’m in Cardiff by 9:45am (the world’s oldest record shop, Spillers, opens at 10am.) I so want that record!! May hang around town all day and watch the Happy Mondays in the evening. My mates are going so it’s a free lift home!

Long shot... I'm not able to get to my local vinyl store (in the UK) to grab this, as I've just flown into NY for Massive Nights. Anyone local can recommend somewhere in Midtown Manhattan where I might get it, or one in Greenpoint/Williamsburg where they might hold one for me to Wed when I relocate to there for the shows?

THanks all. Missed the UK ones, they had all sold out by the time I was awake in NY. Managed to get one from Routh Trade this afternoon.
