Farrar is just the shit for me. He never (except for "The Search") disappoints. I'm so excited for the new Son Volt "Notes of Blue". Probably the highlight of my year at least musically.

Saw him a year or two ago, him and his side guy. Jay Farrar was good, but his side guy showed consummate taste and skill on four different instruments. Da-a-a-a-ammm!

I just heard a clip of "Notes Of Blue" and it rocks!! I'm so excited for this album since I've heard that little snippet. Apparently a tour is beginning in March of 2017. I have every intention of seeing Jay as many times as possible.

I saw the them on the Notes of Blue tour Tuesday night. Unbelievable show. I highly recommend it if you can catch them.

Yeah, I'll definately get that. The band apparently has recorded a few shows on this leg of the tour. Hopefully Jay will consent to them being put up there as flac files for sale. Like what Jeff does for Wilco.
