Yeah, they're still pretty good. A massive 90 minutes long 3LP album, and halfway through it, I think it sounds amazing. The urgency and power from The Monitor is back, and it's merged with some of the more catchier and poppier moments from Local Business (who I think is slightly underrated). It's been labeled as a rock opera, but it can just as well be heard as a White Album or a Wowee Zowee. A collection of great songs, where the storylines most likely will appear after repeated listenin, not unlike another band we all hold high. First listen at NPR. The whole thing is released later this week. www.npr.org/2015/07/20/423220507/first-listen-titus-andronicus-the-most-lamentable-tragedy

I can't believe that it doesn't drag. Really solid record. I'm sure I'll find even more to like as I listen more.

I'm just now starting it. I'm not a hardcore fan, so a lot of the lyrics are getting lost to my untrained ears. I'm also listening in the office as I pretend to accomplish other tasks, so my attention is divided. I'm beginning to doubt my credentials as a punk fan...

i've been listening to it non stop for the last few weeks. some songs sound like shane mcgowans old band the nips/nipple erectors, others like the pogues. not a duff track on it. i'd call it a mix of the clash, pogues and thin lizzy

Christ, I feel like I've lived my life wrong if I wasn't in that room. It looks packed, and like the punk shows we had back in my small town, in whatever space with whatever equipment we could find.

This record might actually rival Kendrick's for best of the year. I can't get enough of it. Incredible layout for the LP, too

Best album I've heard this year. I have the four TA albums on continuous rotation in my van. Can't wait for the gig in November
