This is my favorite record of the year, and maybe one of my favorites ever. Once in a lifetime masterpiece. Every song.
Saw them in Barcelona earlier this year and was properly blown away.
Discuss.

That whole Sun Kil Moon thing makes me kinda sad. I loved his last album Benji but I love Lost in the Dream even more. Eyes to the Wind was the soundtrack to the festivals for me this summer.

Kozelek is being a little shitty, but I think his criticisms of their actual music are spot on. And I'm just enjoying reading someone make fun of their adult contemporary nonsense when they're getting universal praise everywhere else.

I'm still really convinced this whole Kozelek thing is a giant joke, though its starting to look like war on drugs may not be in on it like it first seemed.

As said above, Eyes to the Wind is a great song, my SOTS too. He manages to create a sense of whistful nostalgia all through the album. The songs can sound a bit samey though...

Did you read the article I posted above? Even if I didn't like the War On Drugs, it would still be pretty apparent that Kozelek is a d'bag.

He very well may be a dick. But he also seems pretty funny. The two aren't always mutually exclusive.
