I noted this on the Free Springsteen Show thread. This is a bad album. Wait until Simmons hears that orchestral break

Can we please turn this thread into a legitimate Kiss v. Springsteen debate?

Can we please turn this thread into a legitimate Kiss v. Springsteen debate? Yes. I know it sounds repetitive, and probably nostalgic bullshit, but when I was a kid, everyone listened to both, on 8-track, without irony. Then, bout 1979, the industry fragmented into punks and skins and greaser guys and stoners and discofreaks and progs and mopers and [insert name of clique here]. Anybody out there who might unify the scene? JFTR. Kiss.

For what it's worth, I currently listen to both without irony. No 8-tracks though, sorry. I think Springsteen is by far the more meaningful of the two, but Kiss is a damn fun rock band with some great, recognizable songs. "Deuce," "Strutter," "Ladies' Room," "Got To Choose," "Black Diamond," "Love Gun," "Detroit Rock City"--basically everything on the first two "Alive" albums is killer. I say this only because I'm sure more people will be sticking up for Bruce, and I want to try and even the playing field early on.
