Looks like "reallystickygum"s rip from WYEP made it to Stereogum, that's pretty cool.

I like Spinners about six times better than Frighten You.

Solid track! I like the strings a lot. Not as impactful as I Hope This Whole Thing Didn't Frighten You, but still very strong. Not too sure about the vocal delay in the stops though. Trying not to listen too often, don't want to wear it in too much before the album release.

This one isn't my favorite but I bet it will sound massive live. It just feels like it would be so good at a show. EDIT: The interview is great too!

The non-radio edit version was just released on iTunes. Loving this cut... quite a 1-2 punch to open the record...

The full version has a few more bars of just guitar before the first verse, an extra few bars after the first chorus, and a slightly longer outro...

Love the non-radio edit of this song. Also really glad they posted a lyric video. I've been trying to figure out what word Craig was saying before champagne in the chorus. I kept hearing fried champagne but I knew that couldn't be right. Flat champagne makes much more sense.

I know the differences aren't major between the full cut and the radio edit, but I like the full version much more. Love that little guitar bit before the verse starts

that delay is too much for me; Craig's lyrics are the primary draw of the band for me, so I'm very sad to not be able to hear all of them on a first listen

I am a sucker for an interesting time signature! I'm loathe to criticise the production here, but I enjoyed the live version on the Harrisburg bootleg a bit more...

Just in case you didn't see it, here's the official Vevo video www.vulture.com/2014/02/exclusive-hold-steady.htmlI like the lyric video, really cool. Although the beginning suggests a double-LP, and that confused me a bit. Deluxe release maybe? Okay, that's another can of worms can remain closed a while. Shut up, Eric. Does anyone know if there's going to be a 7" release of Spinners?

The store actually shows the vinyl release as a double LP now. That's odd. Maybe they just listed it incorrectly before?

The LP graphic on the lyric video also lists a track called "Saddle Shoes" after On With the Business. Intermeresting.
(please note that I am NOT wearing a tin-foil hat as I write this.)
