For the past week, I've been trying to get myself back in shape and I've been putting together workout mixes to keep me motivated while I try to drop the pounds.
What song recommendations do you have? Preferably high energy tracks.

Depends what kind of exercise you'll be doing. I normally cycle. You should try and get songs with a fast pace and loud drums.
Queens of the Stone Age - Anything off Songs For The Deaf such as Millionaire The Stooges - Search & Destroy Iron Maiden - The Trooper Beastie Boys - Sabotage Foo Fighters - The Pretender The Hold Steady - Constructive Summer The Velvet Underground - I'm Waiting For My Man Modest Mouse - Float On Muse - The Small Print Rage Against The Machine - Anything by these guys We Are Scientists - Nobody Move, Nobody Gets Hurt Gallows - In the Belly of a Shark
Or you could go with Kanye West - The New Workout Plan

New Killer Star by Bowie - seriously, if this doesn't make you want to dance along, there's something very wrong with you.
Somethin' Hot - the Afghan Whigs.
Hey Boy Hey Girl - Chemical Brothers
Imperium - Machinehead

If you run, any haircut music will do (Emperor Tomato Ketchup by Stereolab outdoors is great). If you lift, nothing has gotten me more pumped than Age of Conflict by the Cro Mags on a heavy day. On endurance day, pump Yank Crime by Drive like Jehu.
