Thank you. It's only the third thread I've started, so it's much appreciated. ;D

I just couldn't get into Modest Mouse. Second time; it just clicked. And now it is in my top 10 albums ever.

That's pretty much my story with Bright Eyes. All the others are albums from artists I really enjoyed and respected that, some how or another, sounded like flops the first time through, but were progressively better each listen after that.

I hardly like anything at first listen. THS is an exception.

THS and The National.
Now two of my favorite bands.

I didn't like most of the stuff I listen to now on first listen...or I was rather indifferent to most of it.

I have liked Atmosphere's "Godlovesugly" more and more as time has gone, and I nearly hated it when it first came out. I think I was so attached to "the Lucy Ford eps" that I couldn't handle how different "Godlovesugly" was. I didn't really like "Wowee Zowee" on first listen. "Brighten the Corners" is still my favorite, but "Wowee Zowee" has really grown on me.
