I have 2 extra regular (non-vip) tickets that I am willing to sell for less than I paid for them. Let me know.

Well, a VIP ticket is $64.95 after all the fees and taxes and fun stuff, whereas a regular ticket is $44.12. If you look at the "Reserved" seating chart on the Ticketmaster page ( click!), it appears that there are 17 rows of reserved seating between the stage and the sound board, while regular GA is behind the sound board. I had no idea they ever put seats on the GA floor, so I'm not sure what the logistics are.

upgrade you can upgrade turn in your 44 tix get a 64 tix it is for cubs charities it is a one off i think i might have mentioned some of this before
house of blues maybe they weren't making enough money and did this vip thing maybe people who will pay more want to rock out with their cock out close to the stage... could be funny, good for a laugh
on the upside! i think the hold steady are still playing so that should be pretty fucking wicked whereever one is standing or bouncing around
yeah the hold steady i love the hold steady!!!!!! stay positive

I'm not rolling my eyes at having paid more for the VIP tickets. I'm just sad that I didn't know that I could have upgraded the tickets that I had already bought.

And now you see why I whined earlier about it being a HoB show. Should be alright as long as they open up the floor. Which is what it seems like is happening.

+++++ VIP Ticket Info, From House of Blues Lady ++++++++ To keep Brendan from having a full on heart attack, I called the House of Blues and got this info: - the VIP tickets are for donors that have given a certain thousands-of-dollars level to the charity - the VIPs must not have been too interested in seeing THS and now we get these tickets if we want them - If you have VIP tickets you get access to the first balcony, which is reserved for VIPs only - If you have VIP tickets, you get access to the Foundation Room (hence F/R on Ticketmaster), which I assume is the Cubs Charities Foundation benefit party. I asked if the band would be there, she did not know. I asked if there would be free drinks, she did not know. I asked if John Cusack would be there, and she said most definitely. That is the word of the Lord, via the House of Blues Lady.

For more information on Brendan's near heart attack, see the chat quotes thread. It's funny.

What kind of interest would there be for an afterparty on this? Rossi's. Or, if there are more than 15 people interested, elsewhere.
