I've seen them ten times live, first in 2008 (they played "Hot Fries" at my first show!). Grouping by the proper albums, I'm missing:
Hostile, Mass. [My #1 bucket-list song] Sketchy Metal Sweet Payne
Charlemagne in Sweatpants Crucifixion Cruise
[seen everything on BAGIA and Stay Positive]
The Smidge We Can Get Together Barely Breathing Our Whole Lives
Big Cig Wait a While Runner's High Oaks

Best HS show I've seen I think (out of 9). Only one to compete is the 2008 Paradise show in Boston. 'Stay Positive' is my favorite album - so amazing to get the full album and then the b-sides too! Band seemed super tight, Tad in particular seemed to be having a blast. That Paradise show...was that the free show where they did Hot Fries? They did indeed do "Hot Fries" at that one! 10 of the 11 Stay Positive songs too (only missing "Both Crosses"). I didn't remember it being free, but it might well have been. Hell of a setlist, I wish there was a boot of it. www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-hold-steady/2008/paradise-rock-club-boston-ma-7bd4c250.html

Can't wait! Jersey City here I come. Boys & Girls 10 was great but Stay Positive is my favorite HS album so I was really hoping they would do something for the occasion.
Also, excited for this from the band's new bio:
"2018 will see The Hold Steady re-issue a 10th Anniversary Edition of their fourth studio album Stay Positive, featuring b-sides and previously unreleased outtakes. "

First redacted location on the poster is really long. Minneapolis–St Paul I wonder?

Update: I don't think NYCTaper made it out. Maybe they didn't approve him. He usually tweets when he's out taping a show, but nothing Friday night.

Patterson started right at 8:30 (the email said 8:15, but they must have padded it)

Thanks for posting! It sounded great live even on the first go round (worked in concert slightly better than "Snake" IMO, though I like that song too).

Maybe I'm being dense, but what was the connection between the Night 1 hint photo and Patterson Hood?

Les Savy Fav gotta be in the running. Craig mentions one of their albums in "Snake in the Shower" and recently sat in with the Seth Meyers band (which includes a couple members) for a week. They don't play many shows, but every year or so they'll do one, I wouldn't be surprised if they pop up for one of these. Amazing live band too.

Thanks for the lyrics! Was hoping they'd put them on Bandcamp (sometimes artists do) but no luck. Great to hear those keys back in a HS recording.

Sorry to bump up an old thread but - nothing ever surfaced right?
Hoping NYCTaper (or whoever) makes it in this week.
