2 months later, it's 30 N Michigan Ave. Well, sort of at least. I had to widen the building with some photoshop magic to have enough windows to make the Stay Positive logo in there. But the base picture is of 30 N Michigan Ave in Chicago. That building actually has a Walgreens in the bottom which I like to pretend is the same Walgreens from God In Chicago, but it's definitely just a fun coincidence.

Let’s get some lyrical interpretations to fill out Genius Epaulets: I looked up ‘ocelot coat’ and none of the coats looked anything like the one in the song. But when I looked up the Metal Gear Solid character Revolver Ocelot for the meme, most of his outfits are long dictator chic coats with epaulets like the song. If this sounds far-fetched and absurd, remember that Franz has been in multiple steampunk bands & Craig is friends with uber-nerd John Darnielle, who peppers his songs with videogame references.... The lyrics have Ocelot capitalized, which you wouldn't do if it was just a coat made of ocelot fur, so you might be on to something here.

There is an image of the poster in the post, not sure why it is not viewable to you... It is a series of old fashioned motel keys with each one representing a tour date. Not sure why I couldn’t either. That was weird. Sorry don’t have that one. Good luck in your search.

Which poster are you looking for? Do you have an image you could post?

According to Bandcamp: Artwork by Nick Hollomon Yep, sigh, in-the-style-of. I should have known by the trees and the people. Chris Ware should kick his ass. Still out. XO WD Oh hey. That's me! Hopefully I don't get my ass kicked.

Couldn't help but notice this in the most recent email: "Pre order The Hold Steady Merch Bundle for Massive Nights IV is $40 and features: - Exclusive Massive Nights IV poster
- Tote Bag
- A signed set list from that night’s show
- a new exclusive THS item."
Sure sounds like this new item could be a new album, or at least a collection of the singles. Fingers crossed.
I'm working on the poster now…waiting on a few final approvals from the guys. Hope you all dig it.

I'm finally back home and recovering from the past weekend. So much fun and so much joy spread around throughout the weekend. The dudes asked me to do the poster for Massive Nights and I've got my copies up for sale in my store for anyone who wasn't able to make it to the shows or didn't get a chance to pick one up at the merch booth. Have a few copies left of Chicago posters (I think like 2 or 3) as well and a few other odds and ends if anyone is interested in those. You guys can use the discount code "UNIFIEDSCENE" and get 10% off your purchase. Link to the store: Click Here

Hey Unified Scenesters. I've added some new posters into my shop for Craig's latest solo tour if anyone is interested in picking one up. I've also got some other CF and THS posters still up there as well. I'm moving soon and trying to clear out some inventory so I don't have to move as much stuff so you guys can use the discount code "UNIFIEDSCENE" and get 10% off your purchase. Last weekend was awesome. I'm back home from Chicago now and have a few of my artist copies of the show poster available for sale if anyone who couldn't make it to the shows or didn't pick one up there is interested in them. They were $25 at the show, so let's go with that plus shipping costs (usually around $10 if you're in the US). Let me know if anyone is interested. Also if you missed the 10th Anniversary posters the first time around, I've got a few copies of those available as well.

Sooo... those posters? Have anyone got them? And should I expect a second shipment? I know I can write an e-mail. but I thought some of you might knew. You should definitely expect a separate shipment. I received my artist copies this week so I would imagine the other copies should be heading out to you guys soon. Even if they were ready at the same time as the vinyl they would have had to go in different shipments since they are shipping in a tube. (One of the reasons the shipping costs were high on these) Hope you get them soon and like how they turned out.

Just got some preview images of the actual posters from the printer. Looks like they did a great job on the printing.

Here's some higher-res images of the posters so you guys can check them out. I talked with Craig almost a year ago about the idea for the map poster and glad we got to make it a reality with this. Was fun diving back in to all the lyrics again to compile the map one and update the original one from the Earl show.

Definitely the best Hold Steady related packaging (album cover, liner notes, etc.) next to BAGIA. Cheers! Nick Hollomon rules. Thanks dudes! Was a pleasure to work on all of this.

Fantastic. Such nice work! I asked in the other thread, but do you think there will ever be a way to purchase them separately? I went a little nuts in the pre-order, so I don't want to get the album for the third time. ;-) That's definitely out of my hands...not sure how many extra sets got made over the pre-order package amount.

Rich mentioned posting all the postcard designs in a separate thread since there seemed to be some interest in seeing all of them. So here they are. Glad everyone is digging them. Attachments:

I'm assuming there's one for each track on the album? It'd be fun to see them all. Yes, one for each song. They were designed by Nick (andconick on here) who also laid out the album artwork and has done a few of the THS posters. Like Rich said there is one for each song on the album and the EP as well as a card with the cover photo illustrated. On my phone now, but I'll try and post all of them up here tomorrow so everyone can see all the different ones. Glad everyone is digging them.

Here's the cover. Photo was shot by Dan Monick (who was in Lifter Puller). Have 2 other photos from Monick in the package, as well as one from Rich Tarbell. Edit* Looks like Rich and I have the same timing...

I did the album artwork and postcard set. The album artwork is perfect (and no, I did not take the photograph for the cover which I love). Thanks Rich! We did get to use your awesome portrait of Craig in the package.

I echo what Rich said on all of this. I did the album artwork and postcard set. These songs have really taken a hold on me over the last few months. I would highly recommend doing the pre-order if for no other reason than getting the EP tomorrow!

Found a couple in a drawer...bad news is apparently some water got spilled on them and damaged them slightly. Should be fine if put in a frame just warped the paper a little bit, no staining. Good news is they're cheap since they're slightly messed up. $10 + $8 for shipping in the US. View AttachmentI'll send u a PM and we can figure out payment... In the meantime, how were you able to get in touch with the band to do the poster for them? They ask you? Did you send out a query? Sorry... Just really curious how this works... Would love to try to help commission pieces for shows I go to (loves me some concert posters, man)... LMK how this works? I'm curious... Originally did a poster for Craig's solo tour through one of the promoter in town here. After the show met Craig and we became friends, so now if they're coming through town I'll do the poster for the show. Nothing to formal or crazy as far as the process of making it happen.
