"A 120mm length cigarette may be more cost effective, but they will always look ridiculous."
That gave me a chuck.

What happened to Richmond on 4/19. That date magically disappeared. Might hit 4/5 in Ithaca. Anyone ever been to The Haunt? Thoughts? I've seen some awesome shows at The Haunt! I think it'll be a good venue for THS. The last show I saw there was Lucero and Titus. Close to the stage, bar, and it's also a bbq joint. Okkervil River was great there as well. I saw the mountain goats there and that was a less successful venue for them--but that's because John was doing a lot of quiet songs. ANYWAY. I'm stoked. It'll be a fun show. Thanks! Sucker for BBQ... and bars. Love that new Okkervil album. Hoping to see them next month on Philly.

Hey guys, normally don't do boards or take video at shows (too much dancing), but had a feeling about the opening since I heard the killer parties rumor floating around the room. Anyways felt compelled to share this with all jersey mikes friends www.youtube.com/watch?v=pL2SmuJmtHk&feature=youtu.be pretty decent video (sound kinda sucks); let me know if you want the actual mp4. One the best THS crowds and shows since probably 08 and I have been to around 25 since then, so thanks everyone and jersey mike's family and adopted family for sharing that evening. Thank you a ton for posting that video. Gave me the chills all over again. Song highlights for me were: Killer Parties (duhh), Hurricane J... WTF... The whole fucking thing was great! Can't say enough about the show. Everyone my wife and I met and ran into were so nice and excited and welcomed us to the scene and show with the most open of arms and hearts. Thank you all for just being the greatest group of fans a band has ever had. That was my 10th show and although deep down in my heart I know the excitement and energy of Harrisburg can never be duplicated, I am still looking forward to the next show. Every show is great and special and I know the next one will be, too. But this one will always hold a special place in our hearts and minds. Special shout-outs to Wade from VA, Steve from Toronto, and BloodyStereos for all that sweat-wet (that turned into stank-dank) confetti! Thank you all again and see yas at the next one (hopefully Richmond... with Deer Tick... on my Birthday... which is a Saturday this year) *Stars Aligned*

Also, Does anyone know the song "Heaven Isn't Happening" referenced in "We Can Get Together"?
Spotify doesn't have any songs by that name.

There's a beautiful, tricky line in We Can Get Together who might adds another song. "Do you remember makes no sense at all". ...could mean... a) " Do you remember makes no sense at all" (because "Husker du" in danish/norwegian means "do you remember") or b) "Do you remember Makes No Sense At All - (and by that, referencing the Husker Du song "Makes No Sense At All") ...depending on what part of the line that is a quote/reference, and what part you regard as, eh, Craigs comment. I lack some skills with english language to explain this better, but I guess you're able to understand me I just LOVE that line! And even though I guess the double meaning is very intentional, i would add Makes No Sense At All. Very cool, I added it!

I've always imagined the Johnny Thunders song too. How dare you say he's less punk than Social Distortion! Are these songs supposed to make direct reference to song titles or also lyrics? Because if it's the latter here are a few more: Cattle and the Creeping Things - 4 Dix by Lifter Puller ("famine and death and pestilence and war") Chicago Seemed Tired Last Night - DoubleWhiskeyCokeNoIce by Dillinger Four ("Nelson Algren came to Paddy") *already on the spotify list but not the imgur list Navy Sheets - Only the Good Die Young by Billy Joel ("you Catholic girls start much too late") *already on the spotify list but not on the imgur list Joke About Jamaica - Houses of the Holy by Led Zeppelin We Can Get Together - Makes No Sense At All by Husker Du Our Whole Lives - Viceburgh by Lifter Puller ("townies taking off their tavern jackets," etc.), I Like The Lights by Lifter Puller ("I like the lights and the up-tempo tracks") I went for direct references to song titles. Added "Makes No Sense At All" by Husker Du Added "Houses of the Holy" by Led Zeppelin Staying away from the Lifter Puller although those are good references and great songs. And sorry about the Johnny Thunders mistake. I'm not really familiar with his stuff. Also, I'm not a big Social D fan and I would never rank them as being "Punker" than anyone else.

I did this poster for a show a few years ago...after the show talked to Craig about a lot of the references and if I remember correctly Born To Lose was a Johnny Thunders reference not Social Distortion, which I had instead. Oh well you win some you lose some. www.andcodesign.com/images/THS_TheEarl.jpgWOW, That poster is really cool! Amazing work by you! Must have put many, many hours into that. I took the Social D song out and put in the Johnny Thunders song.

Also, an addition that pops out to me immediately is "Out on the Tiles"-Led Zeppelin in "Barely Breathing". Added it. Thanks.

Nice research! I always thought the "Born to Lose" in Barfruit Blues was referencing Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers. That may just be me. Thanks! I really don't know why I picked the Social D song. I just thought in context it made the most sense. Like the people in the crowd either liked Classic Rock or Punk. Just like most of the people I know. It could easily be Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, or the version you mentioned. Might have to take a Unified Vote or bother Craig about it.

I went through all of the lyrics to the songs I have (or know of) and I made a playlist of the songs referenced in Craig's lyrics. Here is a link to open the playlist on Spotify: Here is a link to a list of the songs and some notes I made: i.imgur.com/qM1P2jl.pngI would like this to be a collaborative effort, so please let me know what I missed or screwed up. Note: If this subject has been explored in the past I don't mind if this thread is deleted.

Yeah I booked Comfort Inn yesterday, pretty reasonable price, if you have AAA/CAA you can knock off $10 too. Might I add that the Comfort Inn was previously Jersey Mike endorsed. We booked it yesterday. Hope the carpet has plenty of burn holes to keep us company.

The Comfort Inn along the banks of the river is your best bet: www.comfortinnriverfront.com/It's a 15 minute walk, but I suggest a $5 taxi. There are plenty of taxis around on the weekend. There is also a Harrisburg Hilton that is closer, but it will be more expensive than The Crown Plaza. Yeah I booked Comfort Inn yesterday, pretty reasonable price, if you have AAA/CAA you can knock off $10 too. Thanks for the tips.

Price of the Crowne Plaza went up $20 yesterday.
My wife and I were thinking the price would drop closer to the day.
Bit in the ass on that one.
Anyone familiar with the area know of any other decent hotels within walking distance to the show?
