(Guys go for looks) Girls go for status.
Cos it's so fucking true. Normally I miss out the first part.

yeah i've seen it quoted on some dating advice threads... the best way i've heard it phrased is 'girls want a guy who they can date and not have to explain why they're dating them'

yeah Stay Postive has replaced Dune's Litany Against Fear ('Fear is the mindkiller. Fear is the little death that brings total oblivion...') as my mantra. Its shorter, which helps
i'd quote 'Everyone's a critic' more if it didn't apply to me... tho i did lose my beret
i use 'Wired for sound and down with whatever' on Facebook alot

You gotta stay positive is the obvious one but there are so many catchy little line in THS songs you can find one for most situations.

mostly to me... i tend to say "it hurts but it's worth it" way too much. Yeah, me too, but lately, I've been saying it to describe growing pains, not self-inflicted wounds. It's a nice change.

"he/she/you want/s the scars but they/you don't want the war"
"stuck between stations" as in "man, i'm neither here nor there. it's like im stuck between stations" or whenever the Transpennine Express takes an unscheduled stop in the middle of nowhere.
"you gotta stay positive"
"excuses, half-truths and fortified wine" seems to get used a lot.

Song number four from the first D4, I believe.

"I was out of my head, so it was out of my hands."
Has come in handy in some storytelling about days past when I was just an amateur drinker.
