NO WAY!!! *hated eng lit at a-level* eng lit ruined reading for me until last year!!!!!! I understand what you mean, when you anylize a book you look at it a lot differently and find that you don't like the book anymore. That's what my teacher said about McEwan's Enduring Love. But it's an interesting and fun course which is easy aside from the essay overload.

Woot! Yeah linguistics is the monarch of English based subjects... I liked lit, but got bored of it so didn't fancy it for a degree, I love linguistics though so am pretty chuffed with life at the mo ;D

Haha, the idea that analysing books would put anyone off them just makes me go "buh?" But then, that is what I do for a living! Wooooo, English literature. And history. Though it must be said, both subjects are far more exciting at uni than at A level.

A) Studying for my three Spanish finals, writing my 3500 word final paper for one of my lit. classes (developing a thesis first would probably help) and figuring out what the hell we talked about in lit. theory for the last two months so I have a chance on the final.
B) Watching Law and Order: Criminal Intent. I love Robert Goren/Vincent D'Onofrio. He's not looking so studly anymore but he's still got the brains. And we all know that's what really matters.

a.) calling my mom, packing, cleaning, laundry b.) doing my hair, despite having no plans to go anywhere and watching MADE on mtv. I secretly love MADE. (not so secret anymore...). Sadly don't have a tv though so no more heartwarming tales of America's youth living their dreams and sticking it to their parents/friends/other kids who bully them...
